DecoArt Americana Decor Varnish 8oz, Soft Touch, White

I ordered soft touch by mistake but I'm glad I did much better than the ultra matte. Feels soft and dries in a minute or so. Excellent quality this jar lasts a long time. Can be removed with 91% alcohol instead of thinner or goo off so cleaning is easy. Application is smooth and good value for money !

Use on so much, price reasonable, reduces shine, hides those pesky glue boo boos , makes thins matte, soft protected finish..lasts long time

Love this soft varnish. I use it on some of my painted rocks. It seals up all the porous holes and all the sharp edges on my more jagged painted rocks. It’s waterproof, so I can put my rocks outside after varnishing with this product. It may look a little waxy with enough coats (it’s a matte finish, not gloss), but it doesn’t feel waxy. It feels very silky smooth to the touch.

Forget about polyurethane....this is what you need to put over a flat, matte or chalk paint. It is so easy to apply, brush it on, it's self leveling so it doesn't have to be perfect. Use 3 coats. It dries matte but with a velvety finish. If the light hits a corner it will have a soft glow, but it is NOT shiny. It was a lifesaver for me after ruining several pieces with "flat" poly that somehow dried shiny. It's a little pricy but worth it. This 8 oz did 3 coats on a dining table base. Also did my bathroom vanity a few years ago, it's holding up perfect with no scratches or peeling paint, on an item that we're a little rough with. The varnish was applied over regular old home depot behr latex paint.

I’ve been using this on chalk painted furniture for years, and I love the feel of the surface. It’s held up well over several years.It’s kind of thick, so I often thin it with a bit of water. I was glad to find it on Amazon because I haven’t been able to find it in stores anymore.

This product was recommended to me. I tried it and it works beautifully to take the shine away from your Reborn dolls. I highly recommend this. One container will last an extremely long time. I am not an artist but a collector and was able to watch a DIY on how to apply. Very easy and fast.

This worked perfect to make my reborn feel so soft to the touch. The drying time for me was about an hour. But I let it sit for a day or two before messing with it.
