I used these crayons (12 pack) to fill 16g nail (gun) holes after installing prefinished cherry trim and casework.I've used a lot of filler pencils/crayons over the years, and I was pleasantly surprised (and impressed) with how well these inexpensive filler crayons worked (they're probably the best I have ever used).The filler (wax) is softer and more pliable than most pencils/crayons. It also buffed to a glossy shine very easily.I used a chopstick (cut to a bevel at the thick end) to help work the wax off the crayon and into the nail holes, then hit the spot with a (torch style) butane lighter (for less than a second), so the remaining wax on the surface (around the fill) wetted out. As soon as the spot looked 'wet', I used a small cotton rag and my thumb to blend the residual surface wax and polish the spot to a shine (to match the adjacent wood finish).These crayons made this process very quick and they worked extremely well. I will definitely buy these again.

These little crayons work well for filling cracks and gouges in wood and there is enough range in the colours choices to make blending to match close to the exact colour of the wood possible. Cleaning the area first and then using a candle flame to soften them slightly made application easy. I am very happy with these.

They definitely fill the scratch or small crack on our wood floor, but no matter how many times I scrap the wax from the crayon off the area, dirt clings to the wax. Think I would rather have the scratch in my floor

I am so glad I found this product. I scratched our coffee table and, well, you know what happened next. I love that there is a range of colors. It filled in the scratch and although if you look at the table from a very flat angle you can still see the scratch, it colors in the imperfections really well. You really have to look hard to see it. Best part is if you use the wrong color, you can scrape it off and try another. I was so happy I didn’t have to refinish the coffee table.

Didn’t work well. Wax when scraped just came out of the Knick. Maybe is scratch was deeper.
