Record everything clearly... even what I didn't know I needed to hear
I bought this recorder because I needed something reliable for my classes and meetings, and the truth exceeded my expectations. The audio quality is impressive. Sometimes the teacher is far away or there is noise around, but this recorder captures the voice clearly as if he were next to me. In addition, it has a real-time monitoring function, which helps me make sure that everything is being well recorded. The storage also surprised me. 64 GB is a lot, I don't have to be deleting files all the time, and with the different recording qualities I can adjust according to what I need. The battery lasts a long time, so I don't stay in the middle of a conference with the device dead.I love the voice activation option. It is very useful for interviews or meetings where there are long silences, because it records only when someone speaks, so I don't waste time or space. In addition, speed control is a gem: I can review fast fragments or listen slowly when I want to transcribe. And as a plus, it has password protection, which gives me peace of mind if I carry sensitive or personal files. Everything is well explained and it is easy to use even if you are not a technology expert.I recommend it without hesitation, especially if you are a student, journalist, or simply someone who does not want to miss any detail.

BEST little recorder ever!!
Honestly I had to get this bc I have to call in weekly to a automated recording to see if I need to come in for a medical count. I just turn my speaker phone on, on my phone and that way I have proof if ever needed that the automated system said I didn't need to come in.. just a way to protect myself bc technology is great when it works, but there are times when it can mess up and I don't want to lose my take homes that I've worked hard for bc of something that wasn't my fault, it would be my word against their system, so you know who's gonna lose that lolI got to the methadone clinic in case anyone was wondering what I meant by med count.Anyways this little recorder is so easy to use, I literally click one button to turn it on and then slide one button on the side up and down down to record and then save the msg. That's it! Super simple. The color screen is also easy to see/read, especially important for me bc I wear progressive lenses so I dont see that well to begin with lol.I paid my own money for this and would do it again if I needed to. Oh, the battery life is amazing I bought this a month ago and charged it when I got it and here we are a month and a half later and it still has a full battery! Now, I only use it 2x a week for about 2 mins each time, so not a whole lot but still impressive to me that it has a full battery after this long.Hope this helps!

A must have for note taking during lectures
This is a perfect mini recorder. Even better than expected. I use this for note taking in class and medical appointments. It's super tiny, but the sound quality is excellent. I would highly recommend.

Good option
It's very easy to handle. The size and capacity are perfect for what I needed. It's helping me with my Italian classes. I loved it.

Handy item
I like this tape recorder. It took a few days to understand the controls, but I guess that's normal when dealing with electronic items. I use it to practice my Tai Chi sessions. If there is a glitch, it is in renaming my recordings. After a recording, I can't rename it, which has led me to using a written list identifying my records.

It records clearly when hidden in purse
This recorder is amazing and so easy to hide in your purse to record conversations for proof of what the other person said. I ordered it to have proof of what my mom said in case she argued with me, saying the never did say this or that.

Potential, but problems!
Based on the feature list, I thought this recorder had a lot of potential. But, like most electronics on Amazon, there are very sparse actual technical specifications. So I ordered one to evaluate it myself. I'm interested in the voice recording feature, so that's what I tested. I didn't try the playback features. If audio is recorded at too low a level, it can become noisy and difficult to hear. Worse, if it's recorded at too high a level, it can become distorted and clipped, and impossible to repair. Any decent recorder will have a meter that shows the actual level of the file being recorded. This recorder has some blinking LEDs, but they are not a real meter. The blinking of the LEDs is not even synchronized with the sound being recorded; they seem to be delayed and very erratic. And when I changed the recording gain (level) from "7" to "1," the LEDs still moved the same amount (they should have moved much less with the lower level recording). The "meter" does NOT show recording level; it's completely useless.Nevertheless, I tried the "denoise" feature which might be very helpful. Most small recorders have only a switchable low-cut filter, which reduces low frequencies, thus minimizing noise from motors, fans, HVAC systems, wind, etc. This recorder has something different: the effect on the recorded noise seems to continuously vary during the recording. It has a very bad effect on recorded speech: the voice sounds robotic, and the recording loses a lot of high frequencies (which are needed for speech comprehension) so it sounds muffled. Also, regardless of what bitrate is set in the menu, turn on "denoise" forces the recorder to 512kbps, which is mediocre to begin with. In short, the "denoise" feature makes the voice sound worse. It's useless. So here we have a recorder which doesn't indicate correct recording level, and which can make a recorded voice sound worse. For my use, this recorder is absolutely worthless. Obviously I'll return mine. IMHO: POS. Buyers beware!!!
