Not sure what took us so long to get this set up. We just got it today, haven't had on the water yet, so not sure how real time float will go, but thinking this will be helpful on a multi-day trip where we would otherwise be blasted from the sun all day. Will update after we spend 5 days with it. So a couple things, this is a 14 ft Aire, frame is 65 wide. We ordered the 8 ft long, 54 inch high, 64-66 inch wide top. As you can see that we will have to fold it forward if we need to drop it quickly, because the oar locks are in the way of it folding backwards. Wondered if we got a wider one if we could have dipped it backwards, or maybe a shorter one and slipped on the inside of the oars, maybe that would have been problematic. Either way, it's super easy to pop on and off the homemade "anchors" Husband cut up a cutting board and attached to frame so we could screw these down and easily pop them off and on. It was super easy to put together, seems sturdy. I wouldn't get the 46 inch tall set up unless you sit lower in your boat. and the 8 ft long was the way to go on this size of boat. For reference this pic was taken at 7:30pm so the sun was low.

Arrived on time needed new top on pontoon other was tore and didn’t match as good as this one I used the brackets from old top I already had bolted down to rails I didn’t use the self tapping screws in aluminum rails they’ll be pulled out if you keep top on and going over about 12 mph that happen to my old one so I put quarter inch bolts in to hold brackets to rail this top is about same color as boat the side screens help with sun be nice if they come down little farther on sides they will catch some wind to my old top fastened in the middle and back and front this one just has mounts for the middle and the four straps to hold it down tow for top and tow for screen I did put it together by myself and put it up be lot easier if you had help you can lean it forward or backward to keep sun off you but you’d have to keep adjusting the straps I just fixed it to sit straight up

Update: seller followed up to make sure I received a replacement side flap. Great service from them and the bimini works great. My original issue was more of a problem with Amazon.Original: The problem I have is one of the side flaps is missing a strap. It should be easy for a seller to replace just that one side flap but Amazon customer service bots don't leave any opportunity to contact them for something simple like that. I'd have to return this entire thing.

I love this Bimini. It works great on my boat and had it up all day in 20 MPH winds and rough seas on Galveston Bay and it did not even break a sweat. Very solid, and I like it. I did purchase Stainless Mounts for the Main Pole instead of using the Nylon ones that came with it and through hull mounted these to insure they would be very sturdy, but I feel confident I would feel the same way with the nylon mounts as everything in this kit seems very well made.
