Adhesive Tape for Roofs
We had to wait until the weather got cooler to be ablet o use this outside on our shed roof as it was very sticky. Went on well but the next day when the heat/sun came back it started to peel off so had to pin it in certain areas.

Fantastic product
I cannot express how fantastic this product is. I used it to add extra waterproofing to a sauna roof and it worked a treat. You MUST use a heat gun to apply otherwise the tar adhesive won’t stick, although u was applying in winter. The material is very flexible and has a thin layer of metal inside which makes it look just like led. Love it.

Easy to work with and good adhesion to different surfaces.
Purchased this Bostik Flashband Self Adhesive Flashing Tape to cover the gap between new pergola rood and wall to which it was attached. The product was easy to roll out and work with, cut to length with a stanley knife, remove backing and then attach. Adhesion to both the wood of the pergola (excellent) and cement / brick wall (descent) was more than enough to meet requirements. Flashing sticks to itself well also for few patches required on corners etc. After being down a few weeks adhesion is good and is keeping rain out as expected. Would by again.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT BUT HAD TO USE HEAT TO GET A 100% SEAL
SITUATION: I used this product to seal a plastic (polycarbonate?) Corolux roof to two exterior painted brick walls. The previous seal had failed after many years service. The work was done in cool but dry autumn weather. I am a time served DIYer but a first time user of Flashband.PREPARATION: I cleaned off the old sealant mostly with a scrapers. I filled mortar joints where mortar had come away and other indents in the brickwork with two pack Ronseal polyester filler to get a new surface quickly. In some places I had to dry out the brick work with a hot air blower to get the filler to stick well. Afterwards I sanded the filler to a flat surface. I primed the area the Flasband was to cover with the Bostic primer which i think was essential to get a good bond.APPLICATION: Putting the Flashband in place was easy as it is vey forgiving so it is easy to keep in a straight line. I used a roller to press every section in place. That cured 99% of the leaks I had previously.REFINISHING: I went back over all of the Flashband with the roller and gentle application of the hot air blower. I could immediately see that the bonding was better all round especially at the edges. i would always do this except perhaps in hot weather as i then got 100% dryness.RESULT.: Easier to used and better than i could have hoped for. As usual preparation was most important and takes longest.

Just the stuff
Used this to repair some leaking and torn roofing felt in my loft. It was easy to cut and apply. I didn't use any primer, I made sure to brush and vac the felt to remove any loose debris etc. on it that would hinder a good seal. I didn't know how messy it might be beforehand, but out of the packet it was not very sticky, probably because it has been so cold lately (we had snow this week). Needing to heat it up to get it to stick, I used an old hairdryer mainly on the foil side, and smoothed it out with a small paint roller. When it's warmed up nicely the bitumen tar becomes very sticky and there is enough time for it to be smoothed out (helpful since the felt areas I was repairing were not flat).
