🖤 Print Strong, Print Smart — Elevate Your 3D Game with Carbon Fiber ASA!
IEMAI’s Carbon Fiber ASA Filament combines 20% carbon fiber with ASA polymer to create a high-strength, matte black 1.75mm filament spool. Designed for professional-grade FDM 3D printing, it offers exceptional toughness, dimensional accuracy, and moisture-resistant packaging. Ideal for users seeking durable, warp-resistant prints with enhanced rigidity, this filament performs best at 250-260°C and requires stainless steel nozzles for optimal wear resistance.

This does print very easy.
Approved! I was looking for some Carbon fiber containing filaments, took one different branded Carbon Nylon and this Carbon PLA from IEMAI and WOW, this is a great product, Gold! Description is 100% match. Company details marked on the box, printing recomendations on the spool, vacuum sealed, filament very good rolled on the spool, looks top! Made some test prints on my S1PRO with standart settings, no adjustments done at all, hardened steel 0.4 nozzle, speed 100%, temp 215, layer 0.2 and 0.16. Super easy to print, no bulbs, no clogging, good adhesion, no warping and etc. It prints as a regular PLA. Results are stunning! I was surprised above and beyond. All this is great and I totally disagree with people who left negative feedback here. I am not really sure how strong the prints will be, looks fragile for a Carbon fiber fillament, well overall it's PLA. It feels that guys from IEMAI care about quality, and offer good price. One recomendation to manufacturer, for dumb people like me, please put a sticker on the seeled spool like "OPEN HERE")))) After the print finished, was going to put the spool back in the box, only at that moment I realized that it's a plastic bag with zip tie, and I destroyed it from the bottom!))) Would be glad yo see more products fom IEMAI on UK market. For sure will buy again.

One of the best filaments I've used
Using this PC-FC filament on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, 0.4mm hardened nozzle, with the Generic PC profile slightly modified using the auto-calibration prints, 110C build plate, 270C initial layer and 260C for the others. The prints are beautifully matte, lightweight, accurate, and strong. Items that have articulation work especially well given the dimensional accuracy. Build plate adhesion is also perfect, on cooling from 110C to near room temperature, the prints so far have just been sitting on the plate ready to pick up. Ordering another spool as I'm almost out..

Strong, prints well but not really black
I'm using the CF ASA filament, it prints very well however the color isn't black, it's more of a very dark blue

Printed flawlessly on a Bambu P1S
I had to increase the parts fan speed from the default to prevent warping, but otherwise it printed perfectly with the Generic ABS profile. It has a nice finish, perfect bed adhesion with a textured PEI plate, and the finished part is incredibly strong and has good dimensional accuracy.

Sent mystery material, not PC-CF
So in 2 of these images you'll see the pc-cf I was sent todayA lovely, glossy material, with apparent extrusion marks, not a single carbon fibre in sight and obviously tangledIn the other 3 images you will see an actual carbon fibre filament, don't even need a microscope to see the obvious texture of them...I was clearly sent a fraudulent return as a new item, and that really sucks.

Perfect. Dimensions, finish, adhesion...
Refers to PETG + Carbon Fibre... all just about perfect. Not a hint of stringing or blobbing and, like normal PETG, it sticks really well to the bed (PEI in this case). I printed a calibration right angle, with 10mmx10mm 'towers' every 20mm, along the X and Y axes. Strangely, every cube measured around 10.19 x 10.21mm wide. I put that down to my liking for using four wall lines. So, I zero'ed my calipers on the X thickness of the corner block and measured the distance over the first 1&2, 1&3, 1&4, etc, up to 1&9. A graph of expected over actual dimension, showed a slope of 0.999947, which equates to the centre of each block being where it should be +/-0.5 microns. Wow!The finish is very good, has that typical carbon fibre reinforced filament look without the delamination which is so easy to get with Nylon based CF filament. It adheres as well as any PETG, ie sticks really well. A little elephant footing, like most PETG. After many trial pieces of many materials, this is the one I need for my project.Settings :Extruder 240 degCBed 85 degCRetraction 3 mmSpeed 60 mm/secLine walls 4Infill 30" hex triangularLayer thick. 0.16mm dynamic

Some filaments great, others bad...
I've tried 3 different types of this brand:ASA-CFPC-CFPA12-CFPrinting in a Bambu X1C with the manufacturer's settings in a custom profile, the first two were excellent. Really nice strong prints, smooth, accurate and great layer adhesion. The only negative, as others have said, is that the black in not black. It's not even really a dark grey - more of a mid-grey. Fortunately that didn't bother me as I needed function over form. However, I had no success at all with the PA12-CF. Warping was terrible and always resulted in it coming off the bed along with the inevitable spaghetti. I'm an experienced user and I set the bed temperature, nozzle temp and cooling as per the maker's instructions. Then I tried tweaking the temps to try and compensate. I did a full filament drying routine and got the chamber temp as high as possible with pre-heating and printed on 1/2 speed but still had terrible warping, clumping and messy inaccurate (unusable) prints. Maybe it would be ok with a much higher end commercial printer that can have chamber temps closer to 100 deg, but no good for the X1C. This was a surprise because PC is typically harder to print than PA12 but the PC-CF printed flawlessly. I'll keep buying the first two.
