I recently used these Slate Stone Coasters for laser engraving, and they exceeded my expectations.The original stone texture gives a rustic and elegant look, making them excellent for DIY projects. Engraving results were sharp and clean, with no damage to the surface.

I bought these to use on my laser cutter/engraver. They are good quality. When engraved they came up with a good clean cut.

Generally good quality. I've had no unusable items out of the two boxes that I've received. I doc a star as the feet are sometimes stuck on in rather random positions. Also, some of the slates have slightly smaller 'clean' areas for engraving so I have to check each one - would be nice if all had at least 90mm diameter clean area (most do but I you have to check).

I find these, at the time of review, great value for money, a little over a pound for each.I used to buy from another source, and they were a bit thicker, but the price was more and I thought I'd give these a go. They engrave really well and out of many orders I've only had 2 or 3 that were either way too thin for me to sell, or too uneven. Can't complain at that. I use the really thin ones as testers.They arrive in a good secure box, bubbled wrapped 2 apiece. None have had any marks on them. I have only had two from several boxes that were unstable due to the felt feet being placed on the uneven bottom of the coaster, where the slate had formed in layers.The natural look is perfect for what I use, it's not too neat and not too rough. Even without any decoration they look very nice. I spray them with clear varnish for a more contrasting engraving.I have dropped one from a short distance onto my desk and it didn't damage or break, not that I would expect my finish products to be dropped, but it's nice to mention.Overall, I really recommend these if you plan to engrave them like I have.
