Very good product for the price. It is pretty sturdy and has a decent storage capacity. I bought for my daughter so she could use it for her nice collection and this box displays them perfectly. Even better than one I have bought before, where it makes the knives press on the glass, which leads to breakage. This box leaves plenty of space between the knife and the glass so you don't have to worry about that.

This is a really nice display box for the money. It deserves 5 stars, but... read on.I have no problems at all with the construction of the box itself. There are no scratches in the wood or the glass. The stain is a little uneven, but only at the inside corners and on the bottom panel. Not noticeable enough to matter to me. The glass doesn't rattle. The joints are square and tight. The wood isn't too soft. The hinges are nicely inset and the metal corners fit well. I read that earlier boxes weren't stained on the edges where the lid meets the box. They must have read the complaints because that is no longer an issue. I bought the one with the black velvet insert. And that is the only complaint I have with this box. As you can see, the insert leaves a gap all the way around. How hard is it to make an insert that fits top to bottom and edge to edge? And, the insert was bowed up in the middle. I had to carefully bend it the other way, without snapping it, to make it lay flat. And, it's thinly padded, so it's slightly puffier in the middle than at the edges, so it'll never really be perfectly flat. That might not be an issue for many display items, but it makes it difficult for some of my knives to lay flat. They want to roll over to the side. I will get another display box, but I will not get it with the insert. Better just to line it myself.If the insert fit properly, was flat, and not puffy, this display would easily get 5 stars.

I will admit, my expectations were low but there didn't seem to be many alternatives for my intended use. I bought two different cases and have selected the other for my intended use. However, this one arrived much better than the pictures posted. The stained finish is complete on the inside as well as the outside (in case people were wondering). The case was received nearly perfect, but I will say there is a 1 1/2" linear indent on the back of the case that shouldn't have passed QC but I will not deduct any stars because it would be difficult to see in a display case since it is located in the back. I will definitely use this for another idea I have.

I purchased these cases to display resin art and jewelry at craft and other vendor shows, and they work beautifully. They are well made, look professional, and make it easier to transport items to and from events. I plan on buying a few more of these because they are just such a great for storage and displays. Highly recommend.
