Bullworker - Isometric
I still have my original Bullworker from the 1980s and use it every week. I bought the Bow Classic 90cm to add adjustable resistance levels to my routine. Over time I’ve found it complements gym and machine work perfectly, helping me overcome sticking points by locking into isometric holds at any joint angle, it also provides supplementary stress patterns that standard lifts can’t replicate. The Bullworker Bow Classic 90cm isn’t a replacement for free weights or machines, but it’s a potent sidekick. If you face stubborn strength plateaus or want an ultra-compact trainer for travel (car boot), its isometric capacity and 5 adjustable springs fill gaps that your gym setup can’t.This is the best none-gym equipment for the money, great strength training product, would highly recommend.

Fantastic!
I've previously used an old brown handled version that was passed down to me that recently came to the end of its life, just as I was ready to get back into fitness again! As you'd expect, over time the spring inside did get weaker. This prompted me to get the Bow Classic as a replacement. The build quality on it is exceptional. It feels like a premium product, but it's not heavy or cumbersome to use.One of the things I really like about this version is the hand grips on the ropes which are easy to move up and down depending on what the exercises are. Also, the moulded red grips feel great and there's no worry that I'll end up losing my grip on it when I'm working out. It's also good to see that it comes with 5 springs. Even though I'm not at the stage yet to use the higher resistance springs, I was able to go about the process of dismantling the Bow Classic to see how easy it is to do. It's really straightforward, and there's no way you could accidentally do unclip the mechanism mid workout. The bag that it comes in as well is really high quality and the non slip pad is a nice touch for doing exercises that require the Bow Classic to be planted on the floor. In short, it's a pleasure to use, and after even a short workout, you do feel like you've been put through your paces.Lastly, the book that comes with it is really useful as well. It's a hand pocket size and it has full colour diagrams of the exercises that you can do with it. As an added touch, it's also available to download online (I can't post the link here but it's on the Bullworker website) free of charge which will be a big help for those that are travelling and want to do a workout but don't have the book to hand. All in all, a highly recommended piece of workout equipment that is going to see a lot of use over the coming years.

Build Muscle
There's a lot of ill-informed nonsense on the Web from people who have never used one, that you can't build muscle with a Bullworker, to which I and many other guys will say 'BS!'The interchangeable springs mean that you can make any exercise as challenging as you need and the top 2 springs really are challenging for most guys. The springs are very easy to change over. There are over 30 different exercises you can do with a bullworker, from the classic chest and shoulder presses, lat pulldowns, lat rows, leg press, reverse lunges, compound moves like deadlifts to isolation work on your biceps, triceps and calves. My personal favourite is a behind the head compression that focuses on the trapezius muscle with great results, my lower neck is beginning to look like Barney Rubble's. 🤣🤣It is straightforward to work the standard 3 or 4 sets of any exercise with either isometric static holds for strength, or isotonic 8 to 10 reps /muscle failure for hypertrophy, or both. The users manual is helpful but by no means the whole story, there is plenty of good stuff on YouTube as well. You'll certainly know you've had a workout afterwards! It can be very challenging if you want it to be.There is also a very helpful FB unofficial bullworker users group with plenty of experienced advice available.

Great addition to the home gym
Before buying this I relied on power twister bars for doing my chest exercises. They are OK, but as you become stronger, you have to buy new bars with more resistance, and if you have a lapse in concentration, the bar can turn and hit you in the jaw. This, I can tell you, is very painful. I wanted something that I could change the resistance of, that I could use without the danger of breaking my jaw and, as a bonus, that would be more versatile. This Bullworker fits the bill perfectly. The five resistance springs cover a range that will accommodate most people and they are easy to swap out. The Bullworker and the springs (plus a small rubber mat) all fit conveniently in to a carry bag for ease of transport or storage. The cables make it far more versatile than a power twister bar could ever be, great for for back and arm exercise.Having sung its praises, I have to say that the most useful apparatus in my home gym is a set of exercise bands in conjunction with some wall anchors, but this comes a close second. Third would come a set of heavy-duty resistance loops, good for the rotator muscles.I do not hesitate to award the Bullworker Classic five stars. I can now distract myself with watching YT videos, etc, without having to concentrate too much on what I am doing.

Correct training program is the key to gaining benefits
The least stiff spring offers very low resistance even for the novice. Otherwise all o.k.
