The case in body looks a lot more than it actually costs.The silver handle on close inspection does look and feel cheap though and I wouldn't snatch at it should I be heavily laden. It does have a carry strap though.If I was a commuter I would only use the strap provided.It does a good job keeping an expensive laptop from getting damaged and looks good too.

Solid and well made

I bought this briefcase for my son in early September it arrived and looked very nice. However, after 2 months the combination lock was not working correctly, and you had to move the number to a half way setting to get the case to opened.The next month the side protector were coming loose and then the hinge were not in alignment making the case difficult to close.I am shocked that a briefcase that is not even 3 months old has got so many issues and needs to be replaced as it cannot be used anymore.I have contacted the seller and he asked for photographs which would NOT show the issues as it is a mechanical fault. Also poor workmanship. I have now been informed by Amazon that he is not going to send a replacement or refund my money.I am very disappointment with this seller as this case was not cheap and I would not recommend this seller as he may have a good track record but this is no way to treat a customer, after only 3 months of using a briefcase.

Perfect fit for my 17.5 laptop , however the cheap metal used for the locking mechanism is awful and I Suspect mazak rot which is a metal fatigue caused by cheap casting during manufacturing. Only had this just under a year and now it’s useless

Good quality although after a while it does seem to pick up some dings and scratches in the metallic parts and the included clips dig away around the area they attach.
