compact & bright with excellent build quality and a long lasting rechargeable battery
I don't write many reviews, but I've been using this flashlight for 3 weeks now and this thing is awesome. I've used it so far for dog walks and a short power outage. Admittedly, it's probably overkill for my use cases, but I never know when I'll NEED something like this...so I'm glad I have it. The low brightness settting is just bright enough for my use. Medium is practically perfect - cars no longer blow through stop signs when I'm out for a walk. And the high setting will light up my neighborhood sidewalks for almost an entire block. The build just feels solid and well-made. Beam cannot be focused, but that isn't needed for a flashlight this bright. The battery is fantastic too. I used it for about 5 hours total in various brightness settings before a recharge was needed. It probably wasn't necessary, but I bought a spare SL-B50 just in case and because it was so reasonably priced. I highly recommend this flashlight.

Very bright!
Extremely bright! This is hard to beat for the price and Streamlight made it easy to recharge. Very pleased with it and would buy another! Also, it seems to be the perfect size, not too small, but not too big. Thumb button works great!

Great light. Powerful. Not for EDC.
This is a great light. Compact for a 2000 Lumen light. Easy to charge. Haven't had it too long but feels very well made. A bit larger than the Surefire I've had for years. Main use for me will be around my property. I have acreage, so I can see what's going on from my front door. Not something I would want to carry in a pocket, although would be good to store next to a home defense weapon, if you don't have a light mounted. (or even if you do)The lights pictured from top to bottom (purchase date):Surefire Fury - 500 Lumen (November 2013)Streamlight 89000 ProTac 2.0 - 2000 Lumen (July 2024)Streamlight 66320 MacroStream - 500 Lumen (July 2024)Streamlight 66604 MicroStream - 250 Lumen (April 2023)If I were choosing a light between the 3 Streamlight options. MicroStream for EDC, MacroStream for Hiking / Camping, ProTac 2.0 for Home/Property Use (I have acreage, too bright for inside unless for home defense purposes). If I were to start with just one, it would be the MacroLight.

Amazing duty/edc light
Love this light. Has been my go to duty light for about a decade. Upgraded to the 2.0. The battery life is great but when it’s dying, you get no light as opposed to low output. Extremely lightweight and fits in a back pocket with ease. Nice design with water proof seal covering the charging port. Decent charge time. Great mid price point light.

Quality you can depend on
My wife and I walk out dogs every evening after dark. We live on acreage and also camp a lot. We need and use quality flashlights for a wide variety of purposes. This light was purchased primarily for the evening dog walks. We have coyotes and other critters in our area and having the 2000 lumen output to look a bit further out if we hear something was appealing. The ability to easily recharge this light without removing the battery was a big selling point for us. One of the flashlights we use regularly for the dog walks is a Surefire G2X Pro. We use rechargeable CR123 batteries in the light, but they have to be removed to recharge. The Protac 2.0 is a substantial light, and the high build quality is obvious. It is ten-tap programable which makes it easy to select from 1 of the 3 available programs. We have ours set for low, medium, high with 1, 2 or 3 taps of the tailcap button. Very intuitive and easy to use. There is also an option with a strobe, high and low and a high only option. For typical walking in complete darkness we use the medium output. The low is great for doing any upclose tasks or seeing the area immediately around you. The high mode definitely lets you see and identify things at a good distance and would be very blinding if you shined it in someone's face. We are very happy with the quality of performance of this light. For us the only downside is it's not made in the USA like many of the Surefire lights.
