Great laptop for 120Hz FPS Games
Packaging:The packaging for the laptop wasn't very protective, mostly cardboard and a simple cloth sleeve over the laptop itself inside the box. However my device arrived in perfect condition regardless.Out of box the device boots and is ready to setup, my device shipped with Windows 10 Build 1703 so updating took a good hour and a half.Performance:After getting Windows and drivers up to date, the laptop is ready to go and already set up at 120Hz. I bought this laptop specifically for the refresh rate as a high refresh rate is necessary for competitive FPS gaming. This laptop can handle any game you throw at it, just make sure you tweak your settings to help achieve 120+ frames to take full advantage of the 120Hz.Thermals:One thing to note is the laptop gets pretty loud and very hot. There are two fans on the bottom, and there is very little clearance between the fans and the surface your laptop will be sitting on. I recommend you prop up the laptop to get better air intake, otherwise you may be seeing temps of 90°C like I was on the GPU.Looks:The laptop itself is very thin and looks gorgeous. The laptop being thin is probably the biggest reason for it getting so loud and hot, but that doesn't mean it doesnt work. The keyboard has 4 different color zones that can be changed, but individual keys cannot be customized.BIOS:The UEFI is very clean and has mouse support, it allows you to update the firmware from a USB drive, change boot options and more. Best firmware I've had on a laptop. Updating the firmware did not work using software in Windows however, I could only get it to work by downloading it to a USB and using the flash utility in the UEFI.Summary:Excellent laptop, best use is for mobile smooth FPS gameplay. Just keep thermals in mind.

This thing refuses to quit
This computer has lasted for 4 years with hundreds of hours of gameplay. their are a few issues atleast with mine sometimes the keyboard will stop working a quick fix is to disconnect the mouse and it starts working again wish their was more internal storage fans are really loud and it runs really hot but it hasnt effected the computer to much as far as I can tell I don't unplug this computer the battery isnt great but for the specs and the price you can play retro games up to new games like call of duty cold war but newer than That I would expect some lag and no multiplayer total war works great on this up to a certain point I've had it handle 4 armies with 20 units each with some frame rate drop but it was smooth enough to keep the immersion can run total war warhammer 2 extremely well graphics are worth the price download speeds are great even at 1mbs it takes 10 hours to download a 60 gb game compared to console at 1mbs would take 14 hours if you want a decently priced laptop that will do almost anything you can ask youre search is over

Poor laptop and pathetic service from ASUS
Too many problems with the laptop plus the ASUS service centre is too bad. They took my laptop for repairs under RMA just after 3 months of use as the laptop was not booting. On boot, it went straight on to BIOS. I reset the BIOS, but still no use. So it had to be a problem with the SSD or the OS. I sent the laptop for RMA and they changed the HDD instead of SSD and sent it back. After 8 days of using after receiving the laptop from RMA, I again get the same problem. They ask me to send the laptop again for RMA.SO far my laptop has been gone for RMA for 25 days.PATHETIC SERVICE FROM ASUS.

The best laptop so far that i have encountered
The best laptop so far that i have encountered. But although this have drawbacks. All the things were working except for track pad, it gets stuck when heated. but Asus help me getting it fixed. so overall not bad experience. but not great too.

Not worth it!
It was good while it lasted. And then the motherboard fried out of nowhere. You expect a laptop to last more than two years when you shell out $1500 on it. Specially if you are using it for playing a non-demanding game like Dota most times. One of the worst purchases of my life from a value for money point of view.Never buying an Asus product after this experience.

I don't know why I wait so much to get this laptop
I spent almost a year looking for gaming laptops to sell my gaming desktop because I need the room my PC used to have and Is perfect! I'm not a MOBA fan but I got this one because I was looking to foward to have a laptop that I could use to play and work so I need the portability of this size....From a monitor of 24 inches to 15 inches is a lot I need a couple of days to get use to in FPS but now is everything in normal this beast will run anygame without any isssues. The 120HZ and the quality of the colors of the screen make me fall in love everytime I'm playing or watching a movie, I saw a lot of comments about how loud the fans are but I found them not crazy loud I even play next to my wife while she sleep and she is a light sleeperThe tempetures are normal for any high end gaming devices I just use a laptop cooler so I dont burn my legs on gaming sessions the only thing I really dislike was the battery life but if you do some research as I did you will know that but comparing battery life to everything you will get for this prices and Brand name this laptop deserve the 5 stars

Fast- but will got HOT AND LOUD
(Review of upgraded i7 7700hq, 1060m, 32gb ddr4, 480gb NVME ssd, 1tb sata ssd)Will easily and quickly hit the 90-100C range, and get very loud, to be expect of an i7 and 1060 in a less than 1inch laptop. Definitely a top performer and the battery is half decent, can play most games on battery for 2-3 hours, 3-4 if it’s less demanding games. 120HZ IPS G-SYNC screen is really nice for on the go or mobile gaming while not in a docked mode. Would recommend any day of the week to somebody who has enough budget to afford a maxed out one of these.
