I've purchased two of these UTK Heating Pad with Vibration Massage for Lower Back for loved ones that suffer from arthritis. That's how good these are. One has psoriatic arthritis, and the other is older and has arthritis and spine degeneration. I'm saying this so you can compare your issues with my purchase use and subsequent feedback and decide how it applies to you and your situation, which is what I did. This isn't my first UTK product, because the Infrared Heat is a game changer since it gets the heat deeper into the pain points. Yes these products are a bit expensive but not compared to some other Infrared solutions I've found. I'm on a budget, and I don't have room to throw money away on things that don't work. My experience with UTK products is that they are very effective where heat can be helpful in managing pain. The stones help hold, distribute, and push the heat deeper in a comforting way. The other UTK large heating pad products are absolutely awesome, but can be heavy for elderly hands depending on the size, and are not highly portable. This belt is a manageable weight and far more portable. It can easily fit in luggage for travel. The trade with the larger size is that it doesn't have quite the coverage as one of the big pads, but the coverage is still good. I love the fact that this product comes in the XL belt size to accommodate anyone, which has also meant it can be used in other ways like across the shoulders. I think the massager is a nice touch and worth the extra spend. You don't have to use it with the heat if you choose not to, but it does help with the soothing effect and it is nice to have. The massage function feels like a soft vibration, and when you are in pain it is just enough to get relief but not hurt from it. I've read some of the UTK reviews for other products that are negative. Other than feedback about defective product issues (which I have not experienced), I have to say this isn't necessarily a casual heating solution. In my house we see it more as a therapy tool, and we treat these UTK products with care - keeping them clean and put up when not in use. So far they have held up wonderfully with consistent use. When your day is rough it can help keep your pain from escalating. But you must be aware of how you are using it, because it can get very hot. For my loved ones, it provides non medicinal relief without side effects, and you can't put a price on that.

I bought this heating pad to ease stiff lower back muscles. I have owned several heating pads and always fought to keep them in position, and I was looking for something I could strap on. When I saw the UTK touting "Far Infrared" heating my first thought was "Yeah, right!" I looked at a few online articles on infrared heating and decided to take a gamble because it had a very long velcro belt. The belt is 38" long, attached to a 15" pad, and is very secure.It works. First use I set the control to 120 degrees. It heated up in less than five minutes, and after about 20 minutes I could feel my muscles relaxing. Rarely do I need more than an hour, and I haven't gone past 122 degrees. It's interesting that the back side of the pad doesn't seem to get as hot as the inside. I tested the top limit of 159 degrees, which worked, but I prefer the lower setting.An unexpected bonus was the power cord. Measured from the heating pad to the plug (power adapter) it is over 13' long, allowing me to get up and move around without removing the belt. Adding to this little joy, there are two power connectors, one about 6" from the pad, and one about 3' from it. I find the connector that is 3' down the easiest to disconnect, which I do if I need to leave the room. The pad loses heat slowly, so I put the controller box in my pocket, do whatever, and plug it back in when I return.I do find the jade heat emitters somewhat uncomfortable if I don't wear a shirt. It's probably more hygienic to do that anyway.I have been using this pad since March of 2022. I really like it.

I have purchased over the past year at least 6 various pads. Out of them all only 2 were worth it. One was a basic weighted pad that works well for anyplace on the body that doesn't require strapping to your body.This pad is the best I have ever used. Easy to keep tight to the affected area with the best velcro buckle I have seen. The heating element worked great until it didn't. After less than 3 months of daily use the controller quit. I was bummed and not ready to shell out another $80 for a few months use. But they stand by their return/replacement guarantee and had a new one sent to me in one day.I am hoping the first one was defective unit and the new one will last a year or more.Not positive if the stones add a benefit but they could as this is the best heating pad I have ever used.
