Nice guitar from our friends in Vietnam!
Thought I’d pick one of these up before the inevitable price increase…Not as light as I was led to believe. Mine is definitely not 6 pounds I’d guess maybe 8 still not too heavy for a Les.QC not so good. Looks like it had a misadventure in the warehouse. Missing a screw on the pickup mount and various knicks on the binding but I guess that adds to the “relic” effect. Most importantly set up and intonation was near perfect out of the box. Nut was cut perfect. This pretty rare these days. Pick ups sound decen. Tone control is excellent it really works incrementally unlike other cheap guitars were it's basically on or off. This suprised me. Looks and feels nice (not a fan of glossy guitars) and plays great. Ticks all the boxes for me plus it looks like the one Paul Mc Cartney plays. A keeper for sure.

A great guitar
Very nice electric guitar from IYV.Beautifully Relic'd and constructed well.I received a damaged one, with a broken tuner and a small break in the finish on the back lower bout of the body. Amazon customer service made it right, so I kept it.Weight is around 9lbs...I got one of the older versions with the full neck/body joint...the newer ones have a trimmed/sculpted joint.Neck and frets were almost perfect, as was the intonation setup. An excellent guitar.I just sealed up the chip, and replaced the broken tuner...and she was ready to go!

Worth it
I have purchased 5 iyv guitars past few years, still have the latest 3. Iyv has improved how I don't know at the price! This model has no issues at all except strings.Pickups are decent however subjective Action was low I raised it , neck straight, and everything works. I like the garage relic finish, no sander marks or cracks. like I said really cheap guitars are hit or miss ! This brand keeps me coming back.

Not up to the IYV quality of other models
I feel bad saying this, since I have purchased over 10 of IYV brand guitars, nad have been happy with all but one thus far. but this one is dud # 2! Very poor quality workmanship. IYV, you really need to do better on QC and consistency of your guitars. this one must have been made by one of your junior luthiers. to start with. The color is NOT cherry burst! Its orange burst!, second, the body wood is NOT Mahogany. Its some kind of open grain light wood. Perhaps paulownia or Chinaberry? The guitar only weighs 6lbs. that is very light for a LP style guitar! plus I was able to put a finger nail dent into the raw wood inside the pot cavity. Which means its a soft wood. Next, the sanding and finish are horrible! I get that you wanted to make it look relic or distressed, but this is bad. huge orbital sanding swirls all over the body and headstock. Like they were in a real big hurry to make this one!, sanding marks cross grain! not with the grain, like a good wood worker does. The frets were all rusty and not polished at all!, and needed filing to get the sharp edges off the tangs. Intonation was off on 3 of the strings. If I can say just one nice thing about this? Is the shape and feel of the neck! very nice shape, and a 12" dia radius curve. feels real good in the hand. This did not cost too much compared to name brand, but even with that low cost, it is not worth what I paid. its a $99 guitar not a $160. I had to spend over 3 hours fixing all the little issues, and in hindsight, I wish I had just returned it....

IYV 300 D ( or F on quality )
I waited almost 6 months for this unit and am totally bummed. After a day of rest I started the setup. I would have just boxed up and sent it back after I discovered a split in the fretboard dead center where you would find the truss rod underneath. Now I couldn't see this until I cut the strings off and started to polish and level frets, but there it was, started at the 3rd fret and continued to about the 12th. I did polish and restring it, but did request a refund. I own a few IYV's and know this is not part of the relic effect it is a sign that IYV is lowering their standards because I received another unit with the same issue. The guitar weight was the same as the green 300, carved heel, the finish was lacking as the effect of a cherry burst was more like a ugly orange yellow, no red anywhere. Other than those big problems it was an IYV. Played well felt good in hand, but too many problems to ignore.
