Do not buy this label printer!
Don’t waste your time or your money on this. I bought my first one and it did not recognize the two label cartridges it was shipped with. I returned it and got a replacement unit. Exactly the same problem with the second one!!! Plus, in the second one there is some kind of loose screw rattling around inside the unit. Might be a defective batch, but it has turned me off dymo at this point.

Good Label Printer, but you have to have work for it other that simple labels to justify the price.
I needed a Label Printer for a new personal assignment so I searched for various brands. I’ve worked in other assignments at work with smaller Dymo’s and liked the ease of use and print quality of it.First one came with cartridge detection problem, was a amazon.co.uk. Second one was from amazon.de, no problems so far.Only thing that it doesn’t annoy me but could annoy others is that the German one is QWERTZ and not QWERTY as the English one, as expected since the layout in Germany is different. But since we are talking about just 2 letters that change, for me it’s not a nuisance. The software connection that lets you edit the lists of work and print directly in a bigger screen with drag and drop (if you have a Fluke Network equipment with software, you can import IDs directly from their database for the Dymo ID software).Overall, I was thinking that if this one was coming with a problem I would basically forget Dymo and buy other kind of brand for a cable printer, but after all this the problem isn’t the brand Dymo but probably someone who bought one, changed parts or returned the faulty one that had already at hand (first one came without cable ties around the cables and battery already installed without charge).Did I recommend it: Yes if you buy the one with the carrying bag and the 2 tape cartridges and have work for it, as cable identification by Laminated Labels or Heat shrink Labels or any special need that the small cheapest ones can’t do (Letratag ones).Although this review as all my reviews will be updated in case something new happens.

I have had an XTL300 for about 12 months. This is a good label printer, but it has a couple of downsides.1 - Its big and heavy, you will end up using the supplied carry case, you are not going to fit it in a laptop bag.2 - When printing using the battery the label does not print as clearly. This is after being on charge overnight. Kind of annoying.3 - The replacement cartridges are quite expensive.4 - Does enable a professional looking label so just about worth the spend.

I love this printer
So, who doesnt remember a little thing with sticky tape and embossing and round disks you rotated when they were a kid? Well I was a kind in the 70s/80s and loved mine. Anyway this has grown up now and has all kinds of different tapes that can be indelibly printed on with ease. Cables, wires, shelves, sandwich boxes etc. Literally limitless and there are so many different types of lable, you just buy em and there is a special space in the carry case, where they can fit for storage. You can swap cartriges in and out depending on use half way through no problem. Endlessly versatile for professional kitchens, electricians, tidy garages or for helping organise all your notes. I dont think you will be disappointed at buying one of these.

A monster package
It's not cheap, but it's a beast of a labeller. Versatile, producing labels in a range of sizes and colours, and well presented in a case that could withstand a lot of knocks. I already had a Dymo labeller but this allows me to do so much more. The chief concern is that you can easily find lots of things to label whether you need it or not, and the labels are not cheap. But if you can justify the cost, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Labels
This product is very heavy limiting its portability. It is excellently protected in the included carry case but I am not sure if the screen will take much punishment. The refills seem a little on the expensive side. I couldn't get it to link up to any apple products which was irritating. Produces fantastic labels.
