Great quality
I love the quality and solidness of this knife. It looks and feels like a million bucks, and the liner lock is rock solid. I only wish it had a deep carry clip.

High quality
it is so much more wicked than you think dude. it's heavy, or maybe it just seems heavy, absolutely seamless in every way. it's possibly the most solid knife ive ever seen, and i dont mean because it's steel. even the clip is extremely high-quality, though it's super tight and steadfast, it still slides easily onto whatever you clip it to. i'm sure you read everything about it, but, this is a 9.5" knife! it's a monster. an inch and a half longer than the Cuda. there is NO room for wobbling, and i get the feeling that's not just because it's a new knife. i really mean solid, man. ergonomically, it has a generous length handle that fits real nice and even leaves some room at the bottom for striking, if that situation ever occurred. when you open it, it clicks into place with a thunking click like no other knife ive used, not like a looser steely clack feel. i mean, this is put together like a steel puzzle that's been welded together when it's opened and immediately unwelds when you close it. the thumb thing (i forget what it's called)comes way out for stability. and the blade is beautiful. the edge is very sharp! it's a formidable knife in every way. i can't stop messing with it. you can rest assured that it is worth the money you paid!

Perfect for belt wear
Fits perfectly on the belt of my uniform for daily wear. Easy open and close function and super sharp. Looks sleek for the size, love this knife.

Awesome blade
Years ago (like 1990 timeframe)... I bought a Benchmade. I've got Buck to SOG level blades, not including the multitools I've purchased over the years. You always wanted a good knife, in service. My Benchmade (black one in the photographs) was perfect. Fast to open, always sharp. Held her edge.I thought she was stolen when my car was broken into. When I ordered this Spyderco to replace her, I found my Benchmade like 2 days later, in my tactical vest. 🤦‍♂️.I'm good with that. This is an amazing knife. Deployment is just as fast. Blade is sturdy and sharp. Quality is top notch. Made in Japan, not China. You know they care about their blades.Maybe not what everyone wants to spend on a blade. But if you really need one at the wrong time... I'd trust the SpyderCo.I've got another SpyderCo... the Tenacious (straight blade) coming tomorrow (though seriously dudes... work on the names. Lol). P.S. got another Tenacious half serrated coming as well. I can't stop myself.

Fine knife for the pocket in suburbs to downtown.
The Spiderco trademark round hole to open makes them my personal favorite, and I also prefer the inside LinerLock release system, and edge that goes clear to the handle. It hasn't quickly dulled, even on fiberglass-reinforced packing tape or cardboard.Because of the short length of this knife, it's a little more difficult to open than my others, though. It's probably just that square corner that need to wear a little. The clip seems much tighter than my other Spiderco knives, maybe because this one is chrome plated, and not stainless. The handle is not the spider-web looking one in the ad photo, but still non-slip and lightweight.Didn't really need it, but at a sale price, it still earned a spot as my EDC knife. Regrettably, it will someday embarrass my wife at the next steakhouse that gives me a dull knife, just won't be quite so obvious.

Small but sharp
The handle feels cheap, but is pretty grippy. The blade holds its edge pretty well.

Old-school Updated
With Spyderco’s constant quality improvement, the SS Police has been brought into the more-modern era. Construction has been improved with the addition of phosphor-bronze washers, and aggressive jimping has been given to the once-smooth spine. The one improvement I’d like to see is with the choice of steel, but I know VG-10 is a hallmark material of Spyderco’s Japanese-made knives. Perhaps that is a relic that will always remain, although I wish it wouldn’t.Still, it’s an awesome piece that makes clear why it replaced the Buck 110 for LEOs looking for a one-handed knife they could clip easily to their gear. It feels like nothing in the pocket, and the blade length means you’ll never be wanting for more cutting surface. Fantastic stuff!
