What's the size of the outlet connection thread? Is it tapered or parallel?

Hi. The thread is a female 1/2 inch 'tap connector' type with a rubber washer seal, exactly like a braded flexi-hose pipe that connects from a 15mm copper pipe to the tap. It is a parallel thread, but would accept either a tapered or parallel male thread. I have a 1/2inch male 'iron' which has a tapered thread and screws into the rothenberger. Then I attach a 15mm pipe to the male iron's compression joint and then put a push-fit connector onto the end of the 15mm pipe. This enables me to then attach to an open ended pipe on a system for testing very easily. Hope this helps.
