This item is very useful for my lovely Dualit toaster and there are 2 of them.Makes a very nice cheese toaster.

Perfect for my Dualit toaster for which it is clearly designed. May fit others. Works brilliantly. Obviously need to keep your sandwiches a bit thin, but impressive results. Use the cage to toast both slices one side only first (the inside). Remember to butter the outside rather than in. A whole new culinary world but the four greatest toasted sandwiches are:- ham & cheese- chicken & bread sauce- sausage- tuna, cheese, chilli & chive

they came with a few toastie recipes and work just as intended. Great for smaller items.

I love these. My youngest loves cheese toasties and these make it so easy to make him one (or for him to make one) as opposed to getting the toasted cheese sandwich maker out and then having to clean all the fiddly bits after. Yes it’s a bit fiddly to clean the corners but a little straw brush and a cocktail stick mean it’s done quickly. Hopefully these will last as long as my old ones which lasted a good 7-8years.Highly recommended

Well made sandwich cages from Dualit, excellent value for two, they work perfectly in a Breville 4 slot toaster though need adjusting in a Rowlett Regent toaster. You can slide one side down slightly, making the cage slightly slimmer to go in the 3cm wide slots in the Rowlett (these sandwich cages have a drip base that’s just over 3cm wide, hence I suggest pushing one side lower that the other to fit. They hold the fillings really well with no dripping, I tried two cheddar cheese and tomato sandwiches and one banana, the slices don’t fuse together around the edges like a toasted sandwich maker but both hubby and I prefer that. I used medium sliced bread that fitted perfectly, just butter the outside of the bread thinly (as you would a toastie) and put the filling inside the unbuttered sides not too close to the edges and keep the fillings thinly sliced.Mind your fingers too when opening the cages as they are super hot.Super design I absolutely recommend.

Ok just for wafer thin cheese but to get very melty cheese you have to cook the toast until nearly very brown/almost burnt....and you really have to squish the edges of the bread so contents don’t fall out. Do not add onion or anything because won’t heat properly. Best to use a proper sandwich toaster for better results methinks.
