When it comes to switchers like this essentially you have a choice between a powered device, which will have a remote control (which is why it needs power) or an unpowered one - like this - which doesn't.I chose the unpowered version for the simple, and practical, reason that I have run out of plugs around the TV - as most people probably have as (almost by definition - everything you plug into this will need power!). But not only that - I did not think I needed a remote controled switcher as, despite not being powered, this splitter will still (in theory) select the right device. It does this because it extracts sufficient power from whatever is plugged into it to automatically switch to the device that is "on".Its also significantly cheaper than powered, remote control, switchers.But does it work? Yes. The lead from the switcher is long enoiugh and the - most importantly - the quality of the image is as good as if the devices were plugged directly into the TV.And the automatic switching does work - but only within the limitations of the devices that are plugged in. The problem is that some devices - like Chromecast, for example - do not really turn off at all, while others, like Amazon Fire TV, are really quite fiddly to turn off (though they will time out). And if more than one device is "on" esssentially you have to switch manually. Not that this is not remotely difficult, a toggle switch achieves this. It does mean you have to get up and walk over to the TV (very retro).Overall, though, we are very pleased with this. It does exactly what we expected it to, and as well as we expected it to be.

I liked that it gives me three hdmi ports. It allows me to have the Chromecast and my ps4 plugged in at the same time but sometimes the picture keeps flickering in and out. So far I have found no fix. It's not the cable, I've tried and it's definitely not the placement of the device (tried that as well) the manual switch is great if you have all devices plugged in and the automatic switching is useful when you switch on/off devices. In conclusion, it's alright for the price. You will get a couple of problems with the device (like me and a couple of people have) but if you can afford a better device, It's probably better.

Overview:As many other people I was after a switch for PS4 and XO. This one works fine for standalone players and PS3 but disappoints when it comes to newer consoles, unfortunately.The Good:#works with players and PS3#cheapThe Bad:#doesn't work with PS4 (keeps switching)#doesn't like XO (hot pixels everywhere!)Verdict:Fine for ordinary dvd players etc but no good for newer consoles.

This is pretty good, does what I want it too (connected my Sky Box and my Playstation to the same HDMI port on my telly), switches over well when you switch on whichever device you want to use. Occasionally (3 or 4 times in 6 months) seems to stop working (only get blue screen) until I unplug all the leads and plug them in again. Apart from that it's ok.

Already had one of these splitters in my Tv and works perfectly but with all the things I have that needed extra HDMI inputs, I decided to just buy a second splitter instead of constantly swapping inputs. So now have two of these splitters and everything plugged in. Works perfectly, just like my first one, so would definitely recommend..

I bought this to connect my Sky TV, PS3 and WD TV to one Hdmi port. I chose this one as it advertises automatic switching. This is simply untrue. In fact, even the button on the device does not switch the inputs - the only way to switch inputs is to physically unplug the Hdmi cable of the device you want to connect and plug it back in again. In other words, this device is entirely redundant. A waste of money.

This little multi HDMI Switcher has made my life so much easier, I was stuck I had four items to feed into our main TV but only two HDMI ports in the TV, to I went online with Amazon knowing they had so many companys selling things via thier site and I typed in Multi HDMI PORTS SPLITER and this three way unit showed up immediately. and the price as reasonable, so I ordered it, it arrived when they said it would and it was easy to fit and use, infact I am very very happy with the unit and would recommend it anyone who was looking for something of this nature.

Can some one please tell me why this will pick up signal from my sky box but will not pick up the signal from my ps3 or ps4 has this is what i got this for to plug both of them into the same hdmi plug save keep taking them out cant get a signal from either when plugged into it but plug sky box in no problems but apart from that good quality for the price
