I recently used the Ronseal Smooth Finish Multi-Purpose Filler and was genuinely impressed. It’s ready-mixed, so there was no hassle with preparation, just open the tub and start applying. It went on smoothly and was perfect for filling cracks and holes in plaster and even some woodwork around the house. The drying time was really fast, about 1 to 2 hours, which meant I could sand it down and paint over it the same day. Once dry, it didn’t shrink or crack at all, and the finish was incredibly smooth and easy to work with. Definitely a reliable product for quick and clean indoor repairs.

A little wetter than I was expecting BUT goes on very smooth and takes sanding very well.

Quality of filler I can not fault, except my proficiency in applying it maybe hehe. Texture is good, but apply quickly and smooth it quickly, seems to start to set in minutes. You may need to lightly sand the area to get finish you desire if not. The size of container was perfect for my needs, less would have neccesitated me needing to buy more, and having waste. I experienced no leakage from the contaner.

The Ronseal 6886271-HHW Smooth Finish Filler does the job well overall. It dries quickly and gives a nice, smooth mirror finish when sanded properly. I especially appreciated being able to smooth it out while still wet using a damp sponge — a handy tip for a neater finish with less sanding.That said, sanding it by hand was more effort than expected. I ended up needing the electric sander, which created a fair bit of dust. Also, the tub design is a bit impractical — the narrow opening makes it tricky to scoop out filler with a standard filling knife. Another issue: the product dries out quite quickly in the tub, so I’d recommend covering it with a plastic sheet under the lid between uses to preserve it.All in all, a decent multi-purpose filler with a smooth finish, but a few small design and usability improvements could make it even better.

Very good drys quickly

Good value with the 50% extra free but be really careful when applying it because it doesn’t sand very easily once hard! It does crack on larger gaps but dries quickly and gives a very smooth, very white finish in the end.Not the easiest to paint over and needs 3 or 4 coats before it’s really hidden.
