Large capacity, good build quality!
I bought this to keep my various electronic gadgets (phone, camera, ipod etc) going on various camping trips I have planned over the summer, where I'll be without electricity for a fair amount of time. Suffice to say, I'm very pleased with what I received. Price when reviewed: £23.CAPACITY and CHARGINGThe main feature that stands out with this product is its capacity. At 20000mAhs, its enough to fully charge most smart phones at least half a dozen times, if not more, which is far more than other battery packs I could find for a similar price (£23). When I tried it myself, I was able to charge my power hungry Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini every day for well over a week, so I'm confident that it won't run out whilst I'm out camping. Devices charged from this do so surprisingly quickly, in some cases just as fast as when I was charging from the mains (their fast charging technology (PowerIQ) obviously does the trick)! The device itself however takes about 10 hours to charge via USB using a standard microUSB to USB cable (which is supplied), which admittedly is quite a while, but worth it considering how much charge this product can hold. A series of four blue LEDs show how 'full' the charger is, and can be activated by pressing a button on the side of the product. These are permanently on when charging however, which can be distracting if charging devices when trying to get to sleep as they are quite bright!BUILD QUALITYThis charger has a really good build quality, and feels very solid and sturdy, far from the cheap plasticy feel than other battery packs at around this price range. I'm very glad about this as, due to their portable nature, is likely to get bashed around quite a bit, so having a strong device like this is very important. Furthermore, being from a reputable brand like Anker, you know the electronics will be of good quality, and very unlikely to fail and catch fire, which some cheap chargers have a habit of doing! It is quite bulky however and a tad on the heavy side (at 350g), though this is to be expected for a large capacity model.EXTRASAlong with the device itself, the product came with a neat drawstring fabric bag to hold it in (see picture attached - useful for when going on long journeys as you can store all your charging cables in this), along with a microUSB to USB cable which can be used to charge the device itself, or charge compatible devices from the battery pack.Overall a very good product, especially at the price I got it for £23: Would highly recommend.

and searching the internet for the best one to get was overwhelming
This is my first portable charger, and searching the internet for the best one to get was overwhelming, so many to choose from, and all claiming to be the best! I decided to stick with Anker as their products have always felt like a quality piece of kit, nicely built and the finish is always aesthetically pleasing (verging on sexy!). They come with an 18 month warranty and customer service that’s second to none. The packaging with Anker products is always impressive. It's like opening up some ultra-expensive pressie. Sturdy box, inserts, instructions complete with a little mesh bags and a short quality micro USB cable (you need to purchase a short lightning cable if you have apple products)What is it?It's an external battery that you can use as a portable power source to charge stuff with. It has IQ, which means you don’t have to work out if it’s the right power to not damage your pride and joy. You charge the Anker PowerCore 20100 up from a wall outlet (which I did overnight), and when charged, it contains about as much power as seven or eight modern smartphone batteries. It has two USB output ports into which you can plug cords connected to the stuff (phones, Kindles, tablets, portable speakers, eCig batteries, the wife’s USB chargeable vibrator or whatever) you want to charge.Plug it in, push the button (which also tells you how much charge is left in the power unit by means of 4 blue LEDs) and it will charge your device super-fast, I won’t go into all the tech specs about amps and times etc. as enough people have already covered that. Just know that it charges fast, is reliable, looks good, feels solidly built and worth its weight in gold when needed. If you’re looking for something to stick in your pocket or handbag as an emergency back up for the phone, (in case you get lucky and don’t want to wake up “your new Friend” when you find your phones died and you need to get a cab to get the hell out of there) then this isn't the one, it has a lot of power so is fairly weighty and large, this is more for the weekend/week away where you can stick it in your holdall
