Great buy! A must for your quadcopter or drone!
I have to say this product has been just great. It works perfectly and provides Tons of fun. The drone clip's oficial airship is one of our Syma X8. It can lift it without issues. You can install it using double sided tape on a used camera gimbal mount. This way you can remove ir easily.Once airborne, the combination is a winner. My nephews and my neigbor's kids...we dropped talcum powder bombs all afternoon. We have also dropped confeti...Tons of fun!The remote control works perfect, with enough range. The plastics are good quality. The servo opens and closes flawlessly. It is really a great buy for the price. I highly recommend this product!Just remember to keep the payload within the clip's load capacity and your quad or drone's maximum lifting weight. (Quad + Clip + cargo)Up next we will try bombing with our Yuneec Breeze and Typhoon. Should also be tons of fun!

1 hour battery life edit: battery updated!
I used this remote to trigger a trap to catch feral cats after seeing a demo on You Tube. It works great, but the small lithium battery doesn’t have a long life, and the transmitter with 3 button batteries lasts about 7 hours I think. I’d love to be able to replace the lithium battery with a larger battery, because you can’t tell at a distance whether the receiver still has power.Edit:I’ve improved the life by using a larger lithium battery that I’ve been able to affix to the back of the receiver. This might make it too large for a drone but works great as a remote trigger. I used a KPT 500 mAh battery and had to reverse the polarity on the battery, but it comes with the small sized connector. It gives at least 5 hours of standby time. I’ve never actually run out so I don’t know its true battery life. It can be charged using the little charger that comes with the drone clip after reversing the polarity. It is now very useful!!

Fun inexpensive little device
I questioned wether a device that cost over $100 LESS than the competition could really work. I performed a test using a few different items, but mainly paint filled water balloons (experiment for our vlog). The device worked perfect for me every time. I didn't test the distance, but and just over 100' it worked fine. I don't have a need to drop stuff a lot so this inexpensive unit fits the bill. I attached it to my landing skids which made it tricky to take off, but avoided the strap covering my downward facing sensor. One downside I experienced was the battery life. The product description says it should last 2hrs. After fully charging mine only worked for roughly 30min. Again I'm not using this as a work horse tool, so not a major concern.

I'm happy with my purchase.
Yes this drone racing remote clip is a good buy. Battery life is good, no problems with dropping from 75 to 100 ft. I received everything that was in the description. 1 issue I had, and it's not really an issue that's bad right now. But the way to charge the ion battery is a delicate way to charge the battery. Doing this over a period of time the wires may break off at where they are soldered, or where they are inserted into the clip that plugs into the charger. It hasn't happened and hopefully it won't. It's fun addition to my drone when I just want to drop a note on someone's door step. Or play rescue an injured toy person with the kids. Etc. Thanks for selling some inexpensive fun.

Works really good
I strapped it around my avata with velcro tape. It worked really good and dropped 150 ft up. I was kinda concerned because of the reviews, but it worked really well.

DO NOT USE WITH DJI SPARK
Do NOT attempt to use it with your DJI Spark! Two main reasons:1) the box is attached with velcro, which doesn't allow you to tightly secure it to the Spark's body. The box slides right below the sensors that tell the Spark if the ground is right below it. As soon as you take off, the sensors detect "the ground" underneath it and it uncontrollably shoots right up. THEN, when you panic and try to descend, holding the joystick down, the Spark "thinks" the ground is only a few feet below it (thanks to the box obstructing or completely blocking the sensors), so it goes into Landing mode. You can imagine how that feels when the drone is 250 feet in the air.2) Since the Spark doesn't have "legs" or a landing gear (it lands on its "stomach"), the box prevents it from sitting upright when taking off or landing. This forces you to launch it (or worse: land it) from/on your hand, which becomes even more difficult since the box is also likely holding a water ballon, a parachuter, or whatever you're trying to drop. These two flaws threw me down a rollercoaster during my first flight where I first thought my drone would be the first one in space, then thought it would be free falling from 250 feet in the air straight into my neighbors roof, then that I would have to somehow land it on my hand while not sure if it would turn off after landing or not. After finally getting the Spark close to the ground (and foolishly too close to myself), I got it to touch down without entering Landing mode. This caused it hit the ground on one side, shoot towards a wall, crash, and finally shut off. Happy to say my Spark still flies with a cracked camera lens and a chipped propellers. The product itself: it feels cheap but it works! It surprisingly didn't break during the crash (+1 star). And the range of the remote was impressive (+1 star). I was able to release the paratrooper amidst the chaotic experience outlined above while ~300 feet away from me. He's still MIA.
