Great for taking soup or hot food to work. I fill it with hot water first get the flask hot inside then warm the soup up until it's red hot then empty out the hot water and fill it with my soup. I do this around 5:30AM and I have my dinner about 12, and it is still hot. It's more on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

After reading so many good reviews I decided to purchase this brand so I can take hot food to work. My first use result was a big let down and my porridge was barely warm after only 3 hours (My porridge only filled half of the flask). I couldn't understand why so many people are happy with it so I did an experiment.8 am - after warming the flask with very hot boiled water for 10 minute, I poured in boiling water to the full. The water reads 97C at the time.12 pm - I opened the flask the 1st time, the water reads 78C.16.30 pm - opened the flask the 2nd time, the water reads 63.5C.20.30 pm - opened the flask the 3rd time, the water reads 55.7C.If you make sure to warm the flask first then put very hot food in to its full capacity, you'll have a much better result. My experiment did show that this is a good quality item and will keep the food pipping hot for long hours.

I'm not giving it five stars because I think its capacity to keep food hot is average. With that said, my son uses it to take his lunch to school and he loves it bacause it carries more food than others. And it came with a bag to carry it and a fork/spoon

I bought this to take hot food to work as a truck driver, it's fantastic and stays hot for hours, still hot after a good 6-7... I've also taken cold food, salad etc.. also keeps cold food crisp and fresh all day.

I have had a few different food flasks over the years and many of them have let me down on the time they claim to keep food hot. I have six hours between leaving home and my break and many flasks have stated 8 hours plus but not delivered.I have found this flask to keep soup hot and easy to clean. Perfect for what I need in the winter months.

Bought this in order to have hot food at work. As an HGV driver, it's not easy to get a hot meal on the road.I was limited to sandwiches etc. Based on the reviews, I took a punt and I can gladly say it paid off.I prepared a meal and placed it in the flask. After about 10 hours, the food was still piping hot.A good tip is to fill the flask with boiling water from the kettle and put the lid on. That will pre-heat the flask. Pour it out after a few minutes and then put the food in. It will keep it hotter for longer.The fork and spoon utensil is an added bonus that allows you to get to the food right at the bottom of the flask.It's a good solid construction too.

From the reviews I expected this to be outstanding: disappointed. Pre-heated flask with hot water before filling with soup. After an hour I could feel the exterior of the flask getting warm so placed in a thermal jacket. After 4 hours soup was hot and flask easy to open with little plug to release vacuum. NEEDED THE THERMAL JACKET; not supplied.
