Upfront confession. I'm a gshock fan.That said, I'll try to highlight both negatives and positives for this watch.So here goes.First off, ALL gshocks are fantastic value for what you get. Even the stupidly expensive ones are fantastically well built, although for me the whole point is that you should be able to subject the watch to all kinds of abuse, and then shake your head in wonderment at the fact that it keeps working!Moving on to this particular modelSize - feels much smaller on the wrist than most gshocks, which is a big plus for me. I want all the gshock features, but I don't want to go to the shops looking like a navy seal! The downside to this is that the digital display panel is quite small, and if your vision is poor you may struggle. This model has the positive display, by the way, which I find much easier than the blacked out versions.Strap - the silicone strap is typical gshock, and it works absolutely fine, IF you like silicone straps. I don't.The good news is that you can buy a simple adapter, so I now have black and brown leather nato straps which I alternate according to my mood. If I go snorkeling, I can easily switch back to the silicone, because the changeover is very simple.Lume - lume is okay, but not as strong as some other gshocks. You get a backlight, though, so it's not really a problem.Timekeeping- nearly 2 years in and perfect. I personally don't like Bluetooth as much as the multiband 6 system, because I have to make the watch sync to my phone, rather than automatic updates, but in reality the thing is so accurate that it doesn't matter if you go months without syncing.Controls- simple and intuitive, and does everything you expect from top end gshocks.Summary - buy one! If you get the right deal, it can be under a hundred quid, and for that you get a super accurate, super durable watch that looks great for sports day to day and even dress wear at a pinch!

I followed the information and downloaded the casio app first. Then I added the watch to the app. The watch connected easily and works well. It looks great, feels good, is easy to read and the light illuminates the whole dial. I'm really happy with this gshock.I bought a 5610u but gave it to my sone because my eyes are not as good as they used to be. This GAB2100 gives me a gshock that I can read without changing glasses. Delighted with this watch.

Very cool watch. Durable, stylish, comfortable and small size. Amazing, looks like an ordinary 4-5 dollars watch but the functions are totally different. Definitely recommend it !!

Watch choices are deeply personal, so what works for one person may not for someone else. I wanted a practical watch that did not need a battery, automatically adjusted to the correct time, had a stop-watch, and was waterproof and lightweight, but not overstated or "screaming" digital watch. The range of Casio G Shocks offer options to fit this bill. I like the octagonal design here. This model has different colour options, but only the yellow and this black offer a display with dark characters on a light background. Properly setting the watch up requires a bluetooth connection to one's phone, but this was straightforward, at least for me. Downsides - the analagoue hands are not particularly photoluminescent and the display is a bit small and can be obscured by the hands.I wear this watch daily apart from more formal occasions. It ticks the boxes for me, but YMMV.

Lovely watch for the money this is my second G-Shock watchI've had the other one 25 years never changed the rechargeable battery as been a great watch I still ware it a lot.Fancied a new one let's hope this one is as good?

Wear this watch on a daily basis, my 18 year old Casio Waveceptor GShock as been relegated to outside working etc. (though it still works perfectly but I wanted a change). Setup was easy but found the phone app. was slowing my phone so I have uninstalled it. Also phone app said there was an upgrade to my watch to install but could not do so because watch not sufficiently charged even though I am wearing watch on a daily basis and it is showing a "medium" charge rate.

Best watch ive ever bought & didnt break the bank

Almost weightless watch on the wrist. Time and date are clearly visible in the dark. The protruding control buttons do not cling to the sleeves of shirts and jackets. Watch settings are easy to set through the application on your smartphone.
