I've always been fascinated by the underwater world, but as a casual snorkeler, I never thought I'd be able to explore it in such a cool way without extensive diving gear. Enter the Chasing Dory underwater drone! First off, I was impressed by how compact and portable this little drone is. It easily fits in one hand and comes with a convenient backpack for transport. At just 2.4 pounds, it's super lightweight too, which is great for travel. The buoy and tether setup is straightforward - I had it up and running in no time. The 1080p camera quality is solid for a drone of this size. While it may not rival professional underwater videography equipment, it's more than sufficient for casual use and capturing cool footage to share with friends and family. I appreciate the 16G TF card for storage and the GPS chip in the buoy. One of my favorite features is the depth keeping mode. It's great for getting stable shots at a specific depth without having to constantly adjust the controls. The 45-degree tilt range of the camera also allows for some creative angles! The Bluetooth remote and app make controlling the drone a breeze, even for a beginner like me. The real-time video feed is awesome - it's so cool to explore and see things from the drone's perspective! I haven't tried the 2 Player mode yet, but I love that it's an option for some underwater fun with a buddy. Battery life seems decent so far. I've been able to get around an hour of use on a single charge, which is plenty for my purposes. Your mileage may vary depending on conditions and how you're using it though. While the Chasing Dory is a blast, there are a couple of limitations to keep in mind. First, it's best suited for clear water conditions. Murky water will impact visibility and the overall experience. Second, the tether range is good for casual use but may be limiting for more advanced underwater exploration. Just something to be aware of! I'm really enjoying this little drone. It's not a professional tool by any means, but for the casual underwater enthusiast looking to explore and have some fun, it's a great option. The portability and ease of use are huge selling points for me. This underwater drone is very cleverly designed, it has a long connection line, really long. It is possible to avoid losing it. Battery life is also good. It can be seen clearly underwater. I like to take it with me when I go fishing. It also has strong underwater power performance and sensitive control. Connect to the mobile phone by downloading the APP. No issues so far. The color design is also very good, you can watch it swim underwater very conspicuously on the shore. My kids also love to play. It's an interesting product.

So I ordered Dory which it got delivered same day which was cool. But then yo charge everything and go out on the lake and spend the 5hrs out there just trying to get the thing moving. If floating like driftwood was what I was going for then it would be perfect. Remote didn’t work even tho everythings connected and showed it was.And it says iPhones are compatible. Nope and now I have to wait for 25+ days for a refund. When i got it same day i ordered it. But cant have a refund same day its returned. Ridiculous. For the price you spend on it you think it would be better than that. The app is also garbageGood luck if you decide to get it. Im Very Disappointed

I had high hope for it, but it was just awful. The App was simple which was good, as it meant you could theoretically just sit down and start filming--but it was so buggy on all the devices that I tried (Android Table, iPad, and iPhone) that is was just unusable. The Wi-Fi kept losing connection, commands wouldn't go through, and I had the dreaded "Unlock Failed" error that plagues a lot of users.My biggest gripe was the Wi-Fi connection. I fly a lot of drones, some of which use WiFi control, and never had connectivity issues, but this Dory couldn't even keep a stable connection even with my phone right next to the Wi-Fi buouy.Altogether frustrating experience.I have faith that this drone is decent hardware (with the exception of maybe the WiFi buouy) but until they fix the control software, this is just a waste of money.

Had a little difficulty getting started, as all the videos are 4-5 yrs old and don't go into detail. Finally figured out to turn on Airplane mode. I also noticed a tear in my backpack, they are replacing it. Over all it is a good product, they just need to be more helpful on how to get started.
