Try this before calling expensive repair.
The AC capacitor provides the extra needed power for the compressor to start. So if your outdoor unit AC compressor is failing to start then try replacing the capacitor.Ok, so you will have to have a little bit of technical understanding in order to replace the capacitor but if you are reasonably handy with a screwdriver and have a basic understanding of wiring diagrams it’s not difficult at all.
