Works great, super easy to assemble

This is a good product. I bought it to use for one summer since we're currently living in a house that doesn't have an outdoor shower. When I first got it, I have to admit I looked at it and thought "sheesh, I could make it for a fraction of what it cost," but for once I decided to just go with it and am glad I did. It's well thought out, the foot spigot is very convenient for getting sand off after the beach and using just cold water to wash off during the summer months isn't an issue. And realistically, there are a number of parts that aren't readily available at the hardware store. It's priced well for the quality and what it does.Even though I live in a very windy area, I haven't filled the base so to retain the portability. When it's attached to the hose, it doesn't topple over. It's light enough and not that bulky that I could see using this with a popup tent camper.I've never done any plumbing at all, but I thought it was quick and easy to put together - it took maybe 10 minutes. Just be careful that everything is glued well (they even include the glue). I didn't do a great job gluing the first time and then missed one of the joints the second. It pops off like a pipe rocket when the water is flowing, which is hilarious except at the moment it happens. Now that operator error has been corrected, it performs well. Even though my new home will have an installed outdoor shower, I'm going to keep it as a second shower.

The item didn't come with instructions so I had to figure it out on my own. Some of the holes were big enough for the screws, but I was still able to get all the screws in with a drill screwdriver. I do love the item though. Even without instructions it didn't take long to assemble and so far it is working great. I've had the more expensive ones with the teak wood platform and post with soap holder, etc. and it was very heavy to move. This is lightweight, even with the base full of water.

Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. We have a pool and it’s great after the chlorine water. We just unscrew hose and take it with us camping.

This product is not from the Outdoor Lamp Company as advertised. I called the company to speak about some issues I was having and they explained to me that it is not their product but a poorly made copy. When I received the product it was simple to put together but a home garden hose does not fit in the attachment at all! I had to purchase something at Home Depot and even then the shower leaked all over. poorly made and I would not recommend this product.

Now that all is said and done, I've ended up with a functional very satisfactory outdoor shower. As it came to me, though, it was useless. Long story. I bought what was said in reviews to be the good (legit) shower of the two similar items available on Amazon. I apparently got the poor one. Don't know why. The shower itself works fine. The problem, as mentioned by others, is with the orange quick connect fitting for h2o input. It leaks badly and pops off completely if you try to use lukewarm h2o. The fitting also requires you to chop the end off your hose so that it's no longer usable for anything else. I Googled & called the D B Roth address on the box who referred me to D B Roth N.J.. Had to Google them for a working #. Their Rep called me right back after I left voice mail, then quickly sent a replacement fitting that was said to solve the leaking problem. The service was courteous and I appreciated that. However, the new fitting needed the regular male threaded hose end! Had to get one to repair my hose. The new blue fitting seemed more sturdy but leaked and popped off just like the original one with cold water. I've attached a piece of hose to the shower with a standard female front hose fitting. Now I can connect a regular hose and the unit works fine even with warm water and doesn't leak at all. The shower head actually works as well as my expensive indoor one. But why keep shipping this item with such a poor connector? Why do some units come with the bad connector and some apparently not? Why ship a replacement that works no better than the original? If you are handy you can toss the original fitting, leave your hose alone, find a 6" piece of hose, a small auto clamp and a female clamp-on hose end to have a fine shower. But why should one have to go through all this? I hate leaving bad feedback for anyone, but feel I should inform prospective buyers of what they may be getting into.
