Had to swap the CPU, but everything is good to go
The short everything is now fine, but when I opened the box I checked out the specs because the stickers on the front said i5 and windows 7. Well this is a refurbished computer and they are reusing cases so the stickers on the front may not match what is inside the tower. SO...I right clicked on the start menu and went to settings and all the specs were as advertised EXCEPT the processor said i5 3570. (I thought I took a screen shot of that.) I called customer service, assured them I knew how to swap processors, and they sent me out an i7 3770 as advertised. You can see the screen shot of what my system now says. So please make sure you right click on the start menu and go to settings to verify what you have. They are human and mistakes do happen. I think the biggest take away is they got me fixed up at no extra charge. Personally, the processors are so close I would have loved the $60 difference in cash, but I'm glad to see excellent customer service!I posted the other pictures so you can see what board you're getting. This is a pretty good deal! usually most computers now days max out everything. So you buy it and when it's too slow, MAYBE, a format and fresh start can help. But, you're pretty much just pitching it and getting another computer. With this, you can still add 8 more gigs of memory down the road. And the 4 individual slots is SUPPOSED to be better than packing in 2 8 gig chips. Personally, I've never noticed the difference. If you want an awesome dedicated graphics card or get a dual monitor setup you're good to go. So that was good to see. Also, there's another SATA port so you can dig your hard drive out of you're old computer and throw it in here to transfer everything over and maybe keep it as a 3rd hard drive cause why not?The keyboard and mouse are kinda crappy. They are definitely to get you going. I'm still using both and I probably won't change it out. I didn't buy this for the keyboard and mouse. They get you going and you can replace it later. The network work card works and didn't expect it to not work, but it's a crazy short USB dongle taped to the top of the computer. At first I was disappointed because that uses up a USB port, but I got to looking at it and there's 4 in the front and 6 in the back. I'm not exactly hurting for USB ports so it doesn't bother me, but just letting you all know.Overall I am extremely please with my purchase. I don't really game any more so I can't comment on that. But speed for youtube, netflix, online college classes, and what have you I think this it money well spent.Something else to keep in mind, the listing says dell, but there are a bunch of different businesses selling this item. I ended up buying from U.S. Technology Recycling Group, Inc. I don't know at what point through the check out process that you are informed on who you are buying from. If that really concerns you make sure you choose to review all sellers.

Good powerful entry-level price base gaming PC build -- just buy good GPU later
Edit late September 2019: Everything so far works okay with the PC still. I was having some issues with the hard drive for a while, which seems to have just died. Luckily the SSD still seems to be working properly. The company has contacted me about processing sending a replacement drive. So I'm glad they are getting back to me and helping me get a working product. So kudos to them.Other than that, a Very powerful PC for the money. Though ivy lake doesnt have much more upgrade path, after buying this I'm planning on eventually upgrading getting a Xeon e-xxxx, since that is the way to go in terms of a better CPU. I upgraded the power supply to a 530w and added a zotac 3gb 1060.A good buy for gaming. the integrated graphics will work if you're willing to go lower on even older games, but your best bet would be to wait and invest in a graphics card separately, and then install it yourself. This PC is big enough to handle most common GPUs.The only bottlenecks on the PC when it came to me were the disc drive and RAM, which isn't a surprise. I upgraded it to some 16gb Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz ddr3 ram. I dont know if this board can support much better. The disc drive works okay enough, being that disc drives are already pretty outdated. Works fine to install disc games and watch DVDs. Eventually I'll see if I can upgrade to a bluray drive.Bottom line is this PC is exactly what I expected before I ordered it. And for a used build, this performs well and wasn't too pricey. If it holds up, I plan on using this computer until it becomes absolutely obsolete.

Great Budget PC, Even in 2020
Bought 2 of these for my kids to build some mild gaming PCs. These towers with a 500W PSU, and decent GPU let's them play almost any new games on lower settings for new AAA games, and high on less GPU intensive games. They have been very reliable, and the seller included 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB which was a great free upgrade! You can build a budget gaming PC for under $400 with this setup.

Excellent value
Use this for gaming with gta v and fivem. Works just fine on low quality. Added a graphics card and new larger power supply and now she's running excellent graphics. Speed is good could be better. Limited lag. Great for all around use...only issue is the display port connections were not connected to the computer. They just threw an old display port board in and left it. No big deal seeing how I was replacing graphics card anyway

Great computer for the price
This is the second one of these I purchased, the first was for a media center to stream our TV shows, this latest one is to replace my old computer which I use for videos, web surfing, and our VOIP telephone. The computer is more than adequate for these uses. I'm sure my son would want a later technology for his gaming purposes, which he builds his own computers for. I used to build mine, but the cost of components and hassle of occasional faulty parts just isn't worth it. The i7 technology is not bad and is fast enough to keep up with current demands unless you are a CAD or A/V professional. I only had one problem, the windows was not activated automatically and the key on the computer would not activate the windows. Sent the seller a message and within a few hours I had the key for this computer and it all works perfectly. Thank You, very pleased once again.

The computer worked fine and does the job.
The renewed computer has an i7 processor. I use the computer for day trading equities using six-24 inch monitors. If multiple jobs are needed, it will be necessary to upgrade the 8 GB RAM to 32 GB and it will handle just about as many tasks as are needed. I had to install an AMD 7750 EYE 6 graphics card to run the six monitors and the power supply has so far handled it well. The Optiplex has been superior to buying a new computer and this is the 5th one I have purchased over the years.
