I have a dense deep pile carpet and an Aeron chair in my home office. It was quite difficult to even move the five casters through the carpet before upgrading to glass.A couple of things to consider: Its possible for an old lady to slide the factory box into position even if stairs are involved, but it might be a challenge with models larger than 42". I positioned the box right next to my desk before opening, slipping on the four little bumpers, and pushing the mat the remaining few inches to its final home. Also, know that it is now extremely easy to move my office chair, but it is a little like ice skating - it takes some practice. Finally, the edge bevel is not very prominent and I think that's good -if it was a longer slope the weight would result in breakage where the edge thinned.

I purchased the 45" x 53" version of this desk mat. This product is worth its value. I spent so much money buying the old plastic floor mats, and most of them wouldn't last more than 90 days. I'm very happy with this purchase, and would purchase this product again if I ever get an additional desk that needs a mat. It is very durable. Installation was fairly simple. The size is exactly what I need. And it seems to stay fairly clean. This is a winning product. Well done, Vitrazza!

I'm very pleased with this so far.It's so smooth to glide on (almost too smooth, can't put my feet up without moving) but that's a good thing. Very thick and strong. I'm 230 lbs and it seems to handle me and my very heavy duty chair just fine. I am worried about a corner breaking or something but I have used it for a month now and it shows no signs of wear or tear.Very nice addition to my home office!

Just started using the product after going through and wasting several plastic ones. It is excellent over carpet and will protect the carpet from permanent damage. It's easy to move on the glass. It does slip a bit on carpet but easy to move back into place. It's also heavy which is helpful, but if you move often keep the box.

I put the glass carpet protector in my craft room to protect my carpet from my rolling chair. I like the durability it should give me. I would have like to have gotten the next size up, but the cost kept me from doing that.

This glass mat was packaged nicely. Arrived with absolutely no damage during shipping. The glass is magnificent. I’m very satisfied with this product. 5 stars.

This is the one you've seen advertise. And it's as nice as you would hope. Amazon had a good price on this particular size as compared to the manufacturer's website. It arrived very quickly and was packed in a clever way to protect it during shipping. I like that I can see my antique oriental rug under it while it's being protected from the office chair's wheels that roll across all day. Very sturdy. I walk over the edge sometimes on my way to the printer and have had no problems. Really a nice solution. Truly a better solution than the plastic version.
