Very detailed and thorough
Very detailed book. Geared towards dietitians but still useful for nutritionists. I don’t like that they make up acronyms for every little term, but I suppose the book would be twice as long if they didn’t.

Required text for course
I needed this book for one of my classes in grad school. This book is chock-full of evidence regarding nutrition and disease. I'd highly recommend 👌.

If your instructor assignes page number to read get the hardcopy
The book is easy to use, but the page numbers do not line up with the hardcopy so if you instructor gives you a reading assignment you have to spend hours trying to figure out the cooresponding pages on the kindle. what a pain!

Dated nutrition and medical disinformation
This book is obviously written for an American audience, yet the authors use only metric calculations in height and weight (and everything else) and fail to to provide imperial/customary formulas e.g. Mifflin-St. Jeor equation. Like all other western/conventional medical knowledge, this book is decades behind what the research continues to reveal and promotes the stance of government agencies such as the FDA and CDC. Authors contend that glyphosate, aspartame, chemotherapy, etc. are harmless (Ch. 36) and fail to mention that permanent deafness is a potential side effect of radiation to the head (Ch. 36). I had to purchase this book TWICE because they released the 16th edition in 2022, just one year after the 15th edition. On a technical note, the kindle version and hardcopy version should have identical page numbers, but don't. Reading the kindle version is a pleasure and much easier to carry around compared to the hardcopy.
