I'm a DIYer, not a pro, but after watching enough videos of woodworkers and learning about the effectiveness, durability, and functionality of the Swanson, I tried this. Since then, I became dedicated to the tool just like the pros. It's not always the most exact with measurements but is very dependable when establishing a right angle is needed. And, even though it's so sturdy it's the only tool I toss without concern for damaging it. Finally, it's one of the few tools I can think of that is genuinely a deal pricewise.

Extremely handy and easy to use. It's been invaluable for a DIY project I'm working on that involves wood cutting and carpentry. This is a heavy-duty speed square. Well made and very sturdy. It's entirely precise enough for my needs and all the markings are easy to read. Also comes with an informative little book. Maybe the best $11.99 I ever spent. Made in USA!

Only speed square ill ever use.

This speed square is so handy. I've been building a dog house and this comes in handy when making sure lines are plumb and level. I still have to learn all the different uses for this and I'm sure the more I use it the more I will learn. I recommend this to anyone looking to have an easy way of finding angles while working with wood or other materials.

It's great for angles, making sure cuts with a circular saw are perpendicular, and marking layouts for framing.
