Q: Would it be counterproductive to use silica gel packets and these sneaker balls at the same time? or do these get rid of moisture as well?

That would be a great idea. They did not remove the moisture just the smell.

Q: How many times can they be used? Do you have to buy a new set once there are used?

I’m actually still using the original 2 I took out of the package; been almost a year I think I do close them when they aren’t sitting in my shoes. But when they do finally Wear out that’s it. Not “reloadsble”

Q: can they be opened and new fragrance be applyed? thxs

I truly don’t know .. was bought for a Stocking Stuffer .. & give away. 😬

You could do either way, but they would probably last longer if you closed them when not in use. I keep them in my shoes at work so then I just pop them in my snow boots during my shift. Mine are always open since I'm using them in whichever shoes are off at the time.
