So if that is true you can put hot water in the pitcher then in the freezer and it shouldn't crack. You could also pour boiling water over ice and the glass shouldn't crack.

Is this rubber in it? You may need to adjust it. I doubt you could replace that piece.

No it does NOT have a metal handle It's all sturdy glass. The top is the only metal part. All very sturdy. Highly recommend

I still have a gas stove, & it works on mine. I'm sure it wouldn't be any different with electric, but not sure though.
