This necklace is a winner. This is my 4th purchase from Lifetime Jewelry and my wife could not be more pleased. All the qualities advertised really are obvious from the time my she opens the box and for years later. Definitely a cut above most costume jewelry.Yes, the jewelers bronze base metal really is quite strong and does indeed stand up to frequent use. The extra thick silver plating (in this case Rhodium) sparkles and certainly does look like new for years -- and without tarnish. The lobster claw clasp is reliable and is easy for my wife to put on and take off.Lifetime Jewelry necklaces look like expensive solid chains. This is top drawer jewelry and my wife gets frequent complements. After four necklace purchases and years of use, my wife smiles every time she wears them. Highly recommended.

The gold plating is horrible and has worn down and oxidized in only two months….causing bluish/black staining on my neck!!I’ve bought gold chains from this company at least three or four times in the last ten years because I ALWAYS wear a heart charm with some of my Dad’s ashes in it…..It’s only ever come off for surgery or imaging. After a couple of years it’s not unusual that I’ll get a king in it that I can’t get out, but the gold-plating has been stellar…..even after swimming for years in a public pool! For this reason, I just haven’t bothered going to other venders for these important chains.I bought my last chain in January 2024, and started wearing it on Feb. 5th, the day it arrived. It hasn’t even been TWO MONTHS, and today I noticed what I thought was a bruise around my neck….which turned out to be an oxidation ring. This has NEVER happened before with the chains I bought from this company. I also noticed that the chain was feeling rough to the touch where even my oldest ones still feel smooth, possibly accounting for some of the redness I noticed around my neck as well. I don’t know what is different, but this was really disappointing.Item was a 22”, 2mm, 24K gold plated/diamond cut chain. (Very pretty, but does not wear well)

Well made just the right size

My wife initially gifted me a rope chain for our anniversary, however ordering it online from a jewelry store and when it arrived it was very thick (5mm+). After that, I went on the hunt for a nice chain that would last me a very long time and hold up to every day use, which landed me to order one from GLD.I saw a lot of hype around the brand, with their special coating they put on their gold chains as well as the lifetime warranty, I was sold. Once I received it (great presentation), I fell in love with the look and durability, however their only options were 18”, 20” and 24”, no 22”. I went with the 20”, not really knowing what size I’d need since the model was super skinny (I’m 6’ 195lbs). The 20” was way too tight on my broad neck and I knew I couldn’t keep it, but I also knew that I did not want the 24”.I began my search, yet again, and finally came across this brand AND they had it in 22”. Perfect! The material, weight, everything is just as good as the GLD except the clasp (GLD’s clasps are just top notch).Super happy with this chain and hope it lasts! Thanks LJ.

A few years ago, wife and I gave one of these chains to our youngest daughter as a gift. I was so impressed with the look, feel, and overall quality of the chain that I bought another one this year to hang a Challenge Coin upon for myself.When it arrived, I realized that I should have ordered a slightly longer chain.So, my wife said she'll be glad to have it, and I'll order another one in the longer length, in a few days from now.So happy first experience led to this second experience, and is the basis for another experience in the near future.The color and fit are perfect.I suggest measuring the length of chain you want so ordering will be more precise.

The necklace gets a little hard; I'm not sure why. Not the most comfortable. Mine is fading near the clasp area quite a lot with the blackish tarnish showing up.

I worked out for 25 years and rewarded myself with a gold chain with a hand holding a dumbbell pendent. It lasted for quite awhile and then the chain began to disintegrate, to the point it was unbearable to wear. After ten operations in the last 24 months, I am back in the gym and wanted to wear my pendant. I was a little skeptical of this chain because of the price, but, i gave it a shot. This chain looks great, is sturdy, and I honestly believe this chain will hold up well. When I go to the gym, I go to work out and I really work out! Sweat and poorly made chains do not go well together. Your neck breaks out in a rash, burns like fire and, eventually, the chain turns green. I haven't had this chain long enough to experience any problems with it, but I do put it to the test. I haven't taken it off since I bought and I even sleep in it and the clasp stays at the back of my neck instead of twisting around and getting caught up in the pendant. All in all, I'm impressed. The only problem I have had is there is no place on their website to register your warranty that I can find. Other than that, I still think the chain was a bargain. If anything changes, I'll let you know.
