Epic Pure Water Filter is Epic
I recently tried the Epic Pure Water Filter, and it's been a game-changer for me. This filter removes up to 99.99% of contaminants from tap water, including lead, chlorine, fluoride, Forever Chemicals, and microplastics. The result is clean, safe, and great-tasting water that supports a healthier lifestyle. One of the best things about this filter is its eco-friendly and cost-effective nature. Each filter can purify 150 gallons (568 liters) of water, which significantly reduces the need for single-use plastic bottles and saves money over time. Plus, the filters are 100% recyclable through their recycling program, which is a big win for the environment.I was also impressed by the rigorous testing and certification of these filters. They exceed NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, 401, & P473 for contaminant reduction, ensuring the highest standards for water quality and safety. This makes me feel confident in the water I drink. The customizable filter replacement schedule is another great feature. Depending on usage and tap water quality, you can replace the filter every 2-6 months to maintain optimal performance. This flexibility allows you to adjust the schedule based on your household's needs.Lastly, I appreciate that Epic is an environmentally responsible company. They use 100% compostable packaging and participate in community cleanups, which shows their commitment to sustainability.Overall, the Epic Pure Water Filter is an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve their water quality while being mindful of the environment.

Great filter—clean tasting water, environmentally responsible
’ve been using the Epic replacement filter (models B01J2LHFMI) for a few weeks now in my Epic Pure pitcher, and overall I’m very pleased with the results. What I love:-Superior filtration & taste – The difference in taste is noticeable. Chlorine taste is gone, and the water feels smoother and more refreshing—my family and guests have commented on it too.-Broad contaminant removal – It’s certified to remove up to 99.99% of lead, chlorine, fluoride, PFAS/“forever chemicals,” heavy metals, microplastics, and more.-Eco‑friendly & cost‑effective – Filters up to 150 gallons before needing replacement, which cuts back on bottled water usage. Plus, Epic offers a 100% recyclable filter-return program.-Reliable certifications – It exceeds NSF/ANSI standards (42, 53, 401 & P473), so I feel confident about the water quality.A couple of small downsides:-Slower flow – It’s not as fast as a Brita filter, but honestly, that’s just the tradeoff for better filtration. I don’t mind the extra wait for purer water .-Plastic pitcher concern – The pitcher itself is plastic, which made me wonder about potential leaching—but my tests so far haven’t shown any issues, and the clean taste makes it easy to overlook.Bottom line:If you're looking for a filter that genuinely improves taste, removes a wide range of contaminants, and aligns with eco-conscious values, this is a strong option. It's a bit pricier than standard replacements, but the improved performance and sustainability perks are worth it for me.

Faulty product. Expensive. Bizarre customer support.
The media could not be loaded. This is my 2nd filter from Epic Water. The first worked just fine, and provided plenty of water for myself and my partner over it's recommended 3 months of usage. When it came time to replace it, I found that the company was having supply issues and I would need to wait a month for a new filter. The first filter continued to perform during this time. The new filter was very slow from day one. As I write this, it is down to supplying no more than one pint of water per 24 hour period - after barely 1 month of use. Once it reached a state of near uselessness, I contacted customer support. I figured they would readily send a replacement to keep a potentially regular customer happy, but no - the person I spoke to insisted that the problem was with my water, not the filter. They said their filters just wouldn't perform well with certain waters. I incredulously informed them that I was already on my 2nd filter, and that the first one had handled my water just fine. Nope: they insisted there was no way I was sent a faulty product. I was offered some mind boggling resolutions: 1.) I could try one of their other filters, like their camping/well water filter meant for filtering biological contaminates (I'm on city water). 2.) I could buy a Britta filter (!?) and try filtering my water through that first, then filter the results through the Epic Water filter. 3.) I could try soaking my EW filter overnight (I tried this and it didn't work - also, isn't the filter always soaking when in use??). 4.) I could have a refund, which the rep actually encouraged me to use on a different brand of filter that worked better with my water. I went with the refund.I almost gave the review another star for the eventual refund, but in the end I held it back as I spent $70 on the pitcher and first filter, which I won't get back. I would not have invested that much money into this system if I knew the company would have serious supply chain issues, send out faulty products, and then tell me to shop elsewhere for filters because theirs don't work with my water. In all, this is a company that appears to have lost the plot. By the way, Britta and generic brand filters have never had any issues filtering the water in my house.
