Such a fun imaginative resource.
We liked this book so much we brought it along to The Louvre with us during our trip to Paris. I bought a few coloring books, travel journals and picture books to prepare for our trip. This one cultivated interest in the kids wanting to know more about Leonardo da Vinci and his work and other art from the Renaissance. It's family friendly, safe, and just a fun read.

Beautiful Living Book for Elementary Education and Family Memories!
As a homeschooling mom of 4 kids under 8 these Katie books are an INCREDIBLE resource for introducing them to great classic artists and artworks. They are fun, show great integrity to the original works all while bringing them alive for small children and making them excited about art. These books are the greatest example of a "Living Book" In a Charlotte Mason, unschooling, or Montessori education and the ids truly love and cherish them. I love that we are creating these memories for them of great art and literature.

Creative introduction to art for young folks
My little boy used to kiss pictures of Mona Lisa when he saw them in books, so we got this and he loves it.The story is a little weak, but no big deal. It's basically an excuse to explore the fascinating worlds "inside" various famous paintings, which is really a great idea about how to introduce art. The characters and artwork in the book are great and captured our preschooler's attention. A very nice work of innocent and charming fantasy.Since writing the above review we've read almost all the Katie books. They're all great, but I think this Mona Lisa book may be the best. The very first one is good too, but really they're all about the same...

Let’s Go to the Louvre in Paris
An excellent read aloud to include in a study of the Louvre in Paris. After reading the book , students can draw the Mona Lisa as well as write a first person narrative from her point of view.

pretty book
this is a paperback, not a hard cover. and for the price from a used dealer, i thought it would be hard back. but the colors are vivid, the book is not used at all. i 'm glad i have it and intend to collect this series. oh, and the hard cover thing is due to my not carefully reading the description.i'd buy here again.
