can you fit a big round ice cube in the glass?

i suppose it depends on the size of the round cube ;-) However the glasses are very wide and hefty. A round ice piece would be very nice - just has to clear the diameter of the opening.

Are godinger and meridian the same brand? the description states godinger but the boxes in the photos show meridian.

Not 100% sure, but the glass is thin and I would think they are not microwave safe.
