Are there small slits or pockets to insert padding?

There is small slits but the padding is completely sewed in.

The entire bra is that soft, flexible, relatively thin foam. There are no extra pads, like how some bras have an extra pad at the bottom as a pushup. But it is on the "thick" side compared to unlined bra. This is my favorite bra :)

The description says to hand wash, but can I wash it in my washing machine that has a "hand-wash" cycle? Can it be put in the dryer on low?

I wash mine on regular in the machine and hang dry it is fine.

Smoothes back fat or makes it more ovious?

I think it smooths it a little bit. It's not the best bra I've had for back fat but definitely not the worst. As long as you buy the right size I suppose. But it is ridiculously comfortable. Hope this helps.

Didn't lay right on my frame

While I didnt like them, my daughter loves them. (I bought 2) so atleast it's still money well spent. In my opinion these are more well suited for a younger lady. Im 55 5'6", 130lbs & 38B cup, but with lower estrogen levels i am carrying more in the middle than I ever did before. Prior to menopause I had a tiny waist now im thicker in the middle so I find that they dont lay a nicely as they would before menopause. They tend to leave gapping at the top of the cups and create back fat.

Overall great underwire free option

I didn't think I would ever need to be in the market for a bra. After years I finally found one I love. Unfortunately, I work with aggressively kiddos and in the span of 3 months, they have grabbed my bra and broken two causing the underwire to poke out. So here I was on the hunt for an underwire option that would hold my boobs in well. After trying a few different ones, this is the one I kept. Overall, it does a good job holding up and in my boobs for an underwire free bra. I am normally a 40DD, so I decided to try the 3xl as that size wasn't listed. It fits okay, I think I could have sized down to 2xl, but since I'm in the process of losing weight, I'll decided I'll hold off until I need to buy a new bra. This bra seems to be the best option if you are looking for an underwire free bra. Also decent priced for what you get.
