This product is for people that have applied at least soft gel before, NOT if you're new to gel.Application was relatively easy given I had never used builder gel before, a lot thicker than I expected, but I suppose that's just how builder gel is.I did have some issues with the levelling, I had to go through it with a fine brush multiple times to get the shape I wanted, and it ended up puddling up on certain places. This has mostly to do with the application, so be *super super* sure you got it on all the right places before you cure it, because it cures FAST. I put it under the light for about 5 seconds, pulled it out because I noticed I didn't level it perfectly, but when I took it out it was already hard. You should still cure it for the recommended time to make sure there isn't any uncured gel underneath.Another super important thing to keep in mind is it BURNS really bad at the beginning of the curing. I looked up some advice and it seems that if you apply a coat that is too thick it will burn worse. Also, if it burns too much and you can't stand it, *take your hand out the lamp*, you can always just put it back and it's not worth the pain.The next nail I just put less gel on, and it didn't hurt nearly as bad, and it was just as hard as the other nail. This is a good quality gel, and you don't need to use a lot of it, a medium amount will be hard enough to protect your nails from breaking.Overall, it's a good product, but it does require some level of skill to use properly and safely.

This is a must have when doing your own nails. Adds strength without bulk. The color is neutral and just as pictured. It’s somewhat opaque. Very easy to use, just like painting on any other gel polish and lasts a long time. It’s a great value!

Great value! Love the natural look this gives when doing French tips. The thickness isn’t too bulky. The polish holds well and makes for easy hand function.

Love love the color. However I most likely put it on too thick as it peeled off the same day.

Work great, I have the whole Beetles system including their UV light. The system that works for me is: dehydrator x2, primer, base (uv), builder x2 (uv btwn coats), color x2 (uv btwn coats), top coat (uv). Do thin coats of anything that needs uv or else it can burn, especially this builder gel. Takes about an hour to do my own nails but I am pretty particular about shaping, filing, cutting cuticles, etc. so that is a lot of my time. This bottles of builder are large and last a long time even using two coats. They are sticky to apply and are a little tacky after curing under uv to allow for color coat to adhere. Have had great results using this system. I’ve only done my nails 2x in three months. These make my nails super strong!!! Get yourself a good soak off to remove these! Really love the extra tools that come with this set as well!

The best of all I loved this product I do my nails at home and I use it every time, you can shape your nail and be confident that it will never break and for me it lasts more than a month and I work a lot at home, it is my star product since it takes good care of my natural nails and most importantly it saves me time and money since I don't have to constantly visit the salons

Tried the clear builder gel and when I applied there was a huge heat spike that was very uncomfortable ..uncertain if it’s due to the product being clear but have never had an issue with other builder gels where it was this intense. So if you’re using this product just be careful of the heat.

Much like everything in the gel nail world, prep work is needed to ensure it not only works but stays on! I have never done this before on my own, I did quite a bit of reading, research, asked questions to the nail techs I know, Pinterest, read reviews and of course the you tube videos, for inspiration, technique and more education on how to use and for best uses tips!1. My nails have grown out a but, I have what ever left from powder dip I did quite a bit ago. Not ready to expose my nails completely and not really wanting to add more powder dip, I turned to this builder gel polish2. I prepped as best I could by filing down smoothing the surface from the powder and taking the shine off the natural nail growth I have. I used a dehydrator and a nail primer.3. I used a gel base coat and cured that according to the instructions.4. FINALLY! I applied the Beetles Builder gel! I started with a small amount at the base of my nail, getting close to the cuticle, then pulled that toward the apex, and end of my nail, I used my own brush to do so because otherwise it just felt like I had too much. It goes on quite smooth and it’s important that you let it sit a bit before applying more to see really where it sits on your nail, if you like it, making sure the amount, not to bulky not too light. Take your time, don’t rush.The color of this polish, is very neutral and earthy, I love that it is elegant, and discrete. The polish itself looks and feels a bit bulky, but remembered this is a builder, it is not supposed to look liquid or fluid like. A little goes a long way. Application is quite easy and the instruction are clear and straightforward.5. Lastly I just added my top gel coat after I cured the builder as instructed. I notice a few areas where I have applied the builder a bit thin and can go back to try to apply better. This is the fun of trying this at home for myself and learning by doing so! The bottle size is a good size for its price and allows me to ameliorate my technique.I am no expert or profesional, using this builder as instructed is helping me have manicured nails, and learn on the way. I have only given this polish four stars because I amWaiting to see how well it holds up now that I have done my manicure with it. Once I have an update in 2-3 weeks of growth and every day everything I will add more to this review.I like this polish and will be trying out more colors ! I like the beetle brand for gel nail polish as well 💅💕✨
