Such a relief to find this product. Just been diagnosed after months of pain, with carpal tunnel but at no time did GP address me saying I was in excruciating pain. He said that Carpal tunnel was not painful. On seeing my consultant he said that the pain I was experiencing was in fact De quervin’s disease alongside carpal tunnel and he said I needed an op but for now I needed proper day support (not a splint) for my thumb. Looked this one up while having my consultation and he said try it, see what happens. Oh my goodness such relief, won’t cure it but honestly it has taken most of this pain away. I do splint at night but during the day this works as a great support, I can cope until I get my op, I had the small size and have just ordered another, the material is breathable so doesn’t smell st all.

None refundable item however this doesn't appear to be stated on the item information, or I missed it stating the item is none refundable.It's a good product if the sizing was correct. I measured my wrist around 3 to 4 times before purchasing as I do gave small wrists. I ordered a small as my wrist is 15cm circumference (as stated in there size chart). Although I can fit my hand inside around my wrist it is uncomfortably tight although fits around my hand just fine.As it's a none refundable item I can't claim my money back. Lesson learnt. If you want something like this go to the shop, DON'T order online

I initially went to a well known high st chemist to purchase a wrist support, I saw this brand in the store, I didn't know my wrist size so an assistant measured my wrist and it measures exactly 16cm. She advise me to go with the medium size which I did, I really did need some support so I put it in when I got home and it wasn't that supportive and the pain was still noticeable to the point where I couldn't lift a cup of tea! I decided to try to find something else, I saw this item and the beige was the colour I really wanted, I went through the Q&As and there was one regarding sizing, so I decided to chance getting the small, it's just arrived and it's perfect, very supportive to the extent that I can lift a cup of tea and I can knit without discomfort. I'd definitely recommend this

Over recent years I’ve developed what is probably arthritis in my lower left thumb joint. It can get quite painful and I’m sure has been either caused or exacerbated by my holding my phone in my left hand while I text! Some time ago I bought another thumb support which wasn’t very successful as it was rigid and whilst it might have helped the pain, obviously was completely inflexible and therefore not very practical. I’ve been looking for something like this for ages and so far am very pleased with the purchase. I had the tan coloured one in a small size and it fits perfectly and does blend in quite well with my skin tone. It’s very comfortable to wear, is stretchy enough to be flexible but firm enough to give my thumb the support it needs without overdoing it. Definitely recommend.

Positives: very easy to pull on and off; soft and comfortable; having a thumb support is much better than thumb hole, which I find is never big enough and always rubs; right amount of pressure to effectively support the wrist without restricting movement or constricting hand; able to wear all day without irritation; able to wear gloves over the top (outdoors and washing up!); easy to keep in a handbag or pocket if only needed for certain tasks; easy to wash, but see belowDrawbacks: difficult to keep clean as the material “pills” very easily, picking up “bits” from your clothes and the environment, which don’t come off in the wash- you have to pick them off; expensive if you need to keep buying new ones in order to look smartI have several of these now. I always make sure I have a pristine one for “best” and as it gets “shabby” it goes into everyday use and I buy another. I have Arthritis and RSI so I need long term support but at the same time don’t want my muscles to become weak so this suits me. Obviously if immobilisation is needed then a splinted support would be better.
