I’m using these to protect my plant labels. They are waterproof and will withstand the weather. I have to cut them a bit to fit over the label but they keep the ink from washing off.

Working in a library, I love these for new books. It makes life so much easier and much cheaper than library’s catalog brands. My only complaint is the clear background paired with the clear sticker makes it really hard to know where you left off on the roll. I have to look closes to see where the next sticker is. I would prefer a different color backing for the stickers.

nice clear protection

I purchased these because I had hoped to trace over some label text with a permanent marker to customize labels for different storage containers. Unfortunately sharpie didn't show up very well - kind of streaky and translucent. I ended up painting swatches and free handing text using pen on top for my art storage which looks fine but just isn't the original idea and won't work for other categories that are less crafty. That said, I still feel like this deserves 5 stars because they absolutely don't claim to be good for writing on top of so that was just an experiment from me. They are clear, the right size, sticky, and easy to peel off the backing. I did end up cutting off strips of ~4-6 labels at a time to work with to avoid them unrolling. I will say that the pen I ended up using did not dry well so I didn't stick the labels on very well leaving some bubbles. They aren't really visible to the naked eye but show up much more in the photos.

Stick nicely. Not acid free. Waiting to see if yellowing occurs.
