What wood is the stool constructed with?

We are guessing it is a foreign hardwood. It is not a soft wood like pine, it's very hard. The stools are assembled in North Carolina, but it doesn't say where the wood is from. They are very well made, very solid, not lightweight at all, just a nice sturdy little stool. We love them.

For the 29” stool: what is the overall footprint of the legs? I need to know how much floor space the legs will take up. Thanks!

16 1/2” x 12 7/8”.... measured on the outside edges at the floor .

Can anyone tell me if the 24" or the 29" is best for a 35" (to the bottom) counter? Also, is the 24" to the center and the ends are higher? Thanks,

The ends are not noticeably higher on the 24". In my opinion it would be fine for a 35"counter. I was surprised by the quality of the 24" - excellent condition! It was a super buy at the Amazon price. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this item.
