Q: Does it contain lactose/dairy?

If you're wondering about any dairy residue from the fermentation process, I'm not exactly sure if it contains dairy. However, 2 pills wouldn't be enough to cause a noticeable reaction for most people. If you're doing a dairy detox, I would recommend sticking to sauerkraut and things for probiotics, as many of these probiotic populations in pills use dairy.

Q: Has anyone tested for live cultures versus dead?

Their Pro-25 is listed in Consumer Health Report's Top 5 of 2018. I don't think they tested the Pro-50, but they vouched for the brand & found over 95% of those still active/viable. Hope this helps. https://consumershealthreport.com/probiotic-supplements/bestprobiotics/

Q: Is there any difference between each pro-50 cap (not "serving") and each pro-25 cap? they are identical!

They are the same thing. For the Pro-50, you take two capsules a day to get 50 Billion CFU and for the Pro-25 you take one capsule a day to get 25 Billion CFU. You could just take one capsule a day of the Pro-50 and you will have a 25 Billion CFU daily intake.
