Q: Is this good for keeping bald head?

My dad has Parkinson's and uses this to keep his head bald. It is very easy for him to maneuver and keeps his head and face shaved clean.

Q: Can u switch the 5 blade with the 3 blade on this shaver

Yes. This model uses the same twist lock technology as the Pitbull models. It does not come standard with the 5 head blades though.

Q: How close and even is this? Good enough to stay bald? How long does a blade last?

You can get super close, depending on the hard you press and how many times you go over the same spot. It's pretty effortless and even feels good. You can go all over your head, neck, collar and down your back to get super clean. I'm not sure yet how long the blades last. I use it 5x weekly for 4 months so far. I rinse the running blades after every shave and clean it by disassembling and rinsing the blade parts look Sundays. I love it!

Q: What is the difference between the palm and the pitbull line of shavers?

It feels to me that the pitbull ones give you nothing extra: The Pitbull silver costs double what the palm does, has nothing extra really, also has reports of being cheaply built and the silver is the cheapest of them all, they go up to like 200 to 300 bucks, which is ridiculous. From my analysis, they are not really better, but just more expensive. And the battery of the silver lasts as long as this one here. I have been using the Palm for over a year now and am very satistfied and wanted to "upgrade" to the pitbull, but really think that it is just a rip off.
