aarkeCarbonator 3, Sparkling Water Maker with Water Bottle, Steel Finish

I brought this aarke Carbonator 3 mainly because a friend has got one and it's a fantastic stylish extremely well built machine and makes brilliant bubbles & it much better than my SodaStream Sprit one electric machine,However the machine I received from this seller (JDM Distribution) when i opened the box the 1st indication this is a used machine was the folder which has the cleaning cloth and drip tray plate has scuff dirty makes on it, Then looking over the machine I found several scuff marks and scratches, The drip tray itself has worn scuff areas, Even so I setup the unit and straight away I didn't hear a buzzing noise from the valve as the instructions mentioned no matter how long I held it down, I tried a lot of testing and the carbonated water was OK the odd time but mostly very poor, If you do buy one goto YouTube their are videos showing how the machine should work & the correct way to use it This experience was nothing like my friends machine, So I emailed aarke including photos (which are attached with this review) aarke confirmed that (JDM Distribution) are a authorised UK agent But brand new Carbonator 3 should not look or operate like mine does & wouldn't leave them in that condition as before they are boxed they all go through a rigorous performance and Quality control inspection, they advised me to return it & get a replacement, I returned it for a full refund which I did get straight away, I paid £139.99 on aarke's website it's £179.99 Free shipping 30 days return and a 3yr warranty, So I ordered one it arrived in 4 days and is mint cosmetic condition and it's performance so far it fantastic, I ordered mine directly from aarke, i looked on Amazon UK and it had increased to £159.99 However it was supplied directly from Amazon eu. I couldn't find it sold a posted from JDM Distribution UK? I wonder why?, I also informed aarke that in my personal opinion I thought that JDM Distribution UK had sent me a returned item or a refurbished one, aarke said they would look into the matter but No customers should ever receive any of aarke products in that condition, I personally think the poor reviews about this machine maybe because the seller doesn't always ship Brand new items, of-course I don't have any proof of this but it makes you wonder, so I would highly recommend that you purchased a Carbonator 3 but NOT from JDM Distribution UK, if sold and distributed by Amazon UK then that fine & I would of done so but I got my fingers burnt and ordered directly from aarke as my friend had done, my friend has has his Carbonator 3 over 12mths and it's working perfectly with no problems and the quality of the build finish & performance is in a different league to SodaStream plastic models, So yes buy one just not from JDM Distribution UK!.

Looks good does the job good talking point

Well built - easy to use - just wish I could carbonate cider more easily! It's expensive, but in hot weather when you are making two or three bottles a day, its great to just have fresh water straight out of our borehole, cold from the fridge, and fizzy. You could never get that with chemical rubbish from the shops - then theres the saving in plastic bottles. Instructions a bit confusing - waiting for a buzz - never happens. Dont worry - pull the lever, it bubbles, wait for it to start hissing when theres too much pressure, and slowly release. you get a spurt of escaping gas, and its done.

This is good machine if you like carbonated water, good quality very well made a bit expensive but I do like it !

Love it

The product is great, but honestly why don’t they tell you that the gas is not included and also it’s a bit fiddly putting the bottle into the thing and why don’t they make a bottle which is dishwasher proof? Why make things difficult for people?

Works well (but the plastic bottle goes cloudy too easy).

Owned a Soda Stream for 3 months. The bottle to carbonator seal was never 100% and I ended up returning it. By contrast the Aarke machine has a wonderfully good seal to the bottle and looks superb. It is just as if the Aarke designers took a Soda Stream, looked at all its faults and designed them out. On top of this it is assembled with real screws and looks pretty easy to mend if ever repairs were needed. It even comes with a spare gas bottle sealing washer! Truly the nicest piece of kit that I have ever bought and a joy to behold as well.
