Exceptional mounting design, but cover for screws lets water in
This is a solid and well-thought out design with good materials. The best part is that the mounting plate has many holes and slots for a lot of flexibility in mounting. This means you can mount it into a stud with a higher probability of success and for a variety of angles..It feels very stable in the wall and in its own construction. Make sure to screw into a stud or ask a contractor to do it with the best anchors. Note that this does *not* include the fancy SecureMount anchor system, that is sold separately..I chose this model because of the mounting plate and because the covers to hide the screws looked a little more homey and not so industrial like the ones we see in public bathrooms. Unfortunately these covers have large gaps in them which, depending on your application and their angle, can collect some water. For use in a shower, I recommend sealing them up with clear caulk. Other than that, the design looks very nice and should fit with modern or classic bathroom decor..The screws it comes with are long and strong but the heads do tend to strip a little. I still used them. It also includes washers which is nice..I got one with the Curled Grip and one without. There isn't a functional difference. I like the look of the smooth one the best. If you are really concerned with grip-ability I would look for another design that is knurled..If you are installing this for a specific person, make sure to ask them their preferences!! A slight tilt (10-30 degrees) makes it much easier to grab and does not cause so much wrist strain. A 45 degree angle is not really necessary for many applications (like near toilet). Ask your loved one to sit or stand where the bar would be used and mark where their hand can reach and note the angles. This will make a big difference. I have had multiple surgeries and I learned this though first-hand experience. There are so many handicapped bathrooms and showers where the bars were just useless to me because I couldn't reach them..Overall, recommended and will likely buy again as relatives need them.

Attractive, sturdy, easy to install, functional.
Attractive, sturdy, easy to install, functional. This bar has 3 holes for screws at each end of the bar. The end pieces go around the whole bar, no little set screws to keep it in place for this one. Finger hold on the inside edge help your potentially wet hand to grip well getting in and out of the tub.We have a very tall tub (clawfoot) getting in is ok, but getting out is a larger step. It was a little scary before we put this bar in.We did use longer screws as they had to go through tile, mortar, and drywall before they got to the stud we had installed especially with this device in mind. With that installation it will hold a fair amount of weight.I'm very happy with this grab bar by Moen.Oh, and it matches the towel bars.

Grab bars are for sfety, Why would you buy less than the best?
The grab bars installed WITH the purchased separately anchors are known to be excellent quality and a very strong safe installation. Other manufacturers bars MAY be as good, but I have never seen any that have the strength that the Moen bars have when installed with the special anchors. The bars plus the anchors are expensive but you are not putting up a towel rack. These grab bars need to keep people from falling down in the tub or shower. I even replaced the towel rack just outside the shower with a Moen grab bar. It makes a good towel rack but also holds up as a proper support getting in and out of the shower.

Does the job, just with it had a less clinical design. Reminds me im aging. Ugh .
The brushed nickel coordinated with my sink faucet just fine. I had worried it might night be a close enough shade as to me it looked like it had a slight yellow undertone in the pictures online. I really wanted one that had a more modern, sleek look. But pragmatism won for this descent price. It does the job. White it looks very hospital or hotelish to me, i am sayisfied. Just wish it didnt help make my bathroom look like the ones in every nursing home in the free world. Too geriatric looking for me, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. And this is solid, functional, and not exactly a complete eye sore. I am not handy, so mounting it was a but of a hurdle. But I'd recommend it.

Sleek and stylish
Very classy. Much, much more stylish than the usual generic looking grab bars. Look beautiful in my newly rodeoed shower.
