Q: how can i set my own combination numbers of my PELICAN 1500-518-000 1506 TSA Lock

I think it comes set to "000," to open. So put on 000 or whatever the initial open number is, then use tip of ball point pen to press on little dimple button on edge of the lock. While that dimple is pressed in, put in the numbers you want. The lock will be reset to the numbers you put in.

Q: I forgot my password on the pelican lock. How do i change it

For anyone who forgets the code, you will need to start at 000 and count up: 001-002-003-004…and so on until you get to the correct combination. When you get to 009, the next number will be 010 and so on. After 099, you will go to 100. If you set a low combination, you will find it much quicker to re-discover the combo if you forget. If you set it to 999, you will need to go through all 1,000 combinations to find the correct combo unless you start at the top and work down instead of working up. There’s no way around the pain in the butt for these locks except to throw out the lock and buy a new one.

Q: Could i use this for a bike lock?

Yea but I wouldn’t. I can cut this with good wire cutters. Get a real lock. This is good for airport travel only.

Q: Will this fit a zipper locking point (two zippers come together for a locking point) .. hole is exactly 1/8" round .. will the lead end and cable fit?

The end piece that "latches" to the lock itself is tiny. It fits through the holes in my pelican. a 1510 in case you want to research the size. But...i would say order one try it out. They're cheap and if works...Viola.
