I wasn’t sure if this would actually light a candle without a real flame — but wow, it works instantly! It lights candles super quickly and easily, even those deep ones in glass jars. I also really appreciate the safety switch; it gives me peace of mind, especially with kids around. Feels much safer than using a regular lighter. Plus, it's rechargeable, so no more running out of gas. Totally worth it!

Comes charged, works well, feels pretty sturdy and it's a good price. I decided to leave a review to share one minor warning - It seems to make a sound within the frequency range that may bother you if you are under the age of 25 or so (18 to 20 kHz). I can barely hear it and it doesn't bother me at all (it's a quiet electrical hiss) but when I showed off my cool new gadget to my 15 year old son, he winced a bit and said it 'made his ears feel weird'.Still 5 stars because it works well (lights candles with electricity, no butane needed) and I believe the sound issue is just an unavoidable part of electric lighters of this sort, not a fault of this product itself.

It works great! No more wondering if there is enough butane in the regular lighter or it leaking.I like that it has a "safety" to keep it from accidentally coming on in a drawer or wherever and causing a fire.

I bought this lighter and use it for only one purpose: to light the burners on a very old Wolf gas range on which the igniter system has failed. It works excellently. It's long enough to reach under pans to ignite the burners. Ignition is immediate. We cook a lot, and the fully charged unit easily runs for a couple of weeks before charging. And the unit charges fully in 2 to 3 hours--and has indicators to display charge level. Delighted with this item.

The media could not be loaded. I light a lot of candles. So, i bought this to prevent my from have to rebuy gas lighters. This does work really well when lighting candles. However, if i want to light something like paper or leaves, then i have to use a gas lighter because this won't work well. It'll start a small flame that almost immediately burns out. The battery lasts a good bit. Ive charged it once in the few months I've had it. The electricity isn't as strong when the battery is low. That's when i knew to charge it. Decent lighter overall. Perfect for candles but not so much for anything else
