Perfectly hot, not perfect pods, but looks are deceiving: Update, better in bigger sizes.
I am glad I waited to post this. When the package arrived (1/2 oz size) I was very disappointed. Unlike the photo, many of the peppers arrived slightly crushed with only perhaps 8 full peppers and the rest were just pieces. They did not look as impressive as the scorpion peppers I buy at the local Central Market. However... looks can be deceiving. I have been very pleased by the taste and heat of these peppers. I assumed based upon appearances that they might have the kick of a dried habanero or if I was lucky maybe something like what I get at Central Market (HEB). But after adding one crushed pepper to a couple of burgers and another to crust some fish I quickly realized these are the real deal. The flavor is better than expected with a slightly smoky flavor (not saying they are smoked just that the peppers have such a flavor) but the real kick is the heat, as they have a pleasant bite. These are not habaneros as some suggest. I am not sure that they are five times as hot as habanero but I would say easily three times as hot which is just about right. The price is not great and oddly the half ounce is more expensive than two quarter ounce bags. But I see negative reviews of the 1/4 ounce bags as it looks like they are repackaged so I am going to pay the extra and get the 1/2 ounce or maybe jump up to the one ounce bag next time.Update: I purchased the 1 oz package and again was not so sure for the opposite reason. The pods arrived perfectly intact, all of them. So much so I felt fairly confident they were actually dried habaneros (live and learn). Well, I did learn. Assuming they were simply habaneros I added five of them to a small batch of chili (along with the normal Serrano and Jalapenos). Well holly hellfire I was wrong. I do love my hot stuff but was simply not ready for what I tasted. It took a little bit to get used to and man it was good but I can tell you straight up these are some seriously hot peppers. My wife, also a chilihead, loved it (with a little sour cream). But make no mistake if you are considering these, go big, buy the 1oz package, get the full pods (seeds and all). And yes, a little does go a long way, but they are really really good.

Very Hot!!
Product was exactly as described. It arrived earlier than expected. I bought them for my father-in-law. He grows his own ghost peppers and habanero peppers and loves hot peppers. He ate a small piece of this pepper and got choked up a bit, which I've never seen him do. He felt it in his throat mostly and it lasted for a good time. They are extremely hot. Great business! A++

had some full untouched peppers in there
Had some full peppers in there (seeds not removed), which was a pleasant supprise seeing as others said they were removed. And yes these are hot. It was definitely hotter than my 800000 shu extract and has had me on the toilet because of the stomach pain. Yes I ate one plain. I have a really high tolerance and this was almost more than I can handle.

Taste testing they are a good solid hot pepper
They arrived in a very timely fashion. Taste testing they are a good solid hot pepper, very hot. As far as the description - In 2011 Guinness book of world records confirmed the Trinidad Scorpion Pepper is the hottest chili pepper in the world!- Not even close, this is purely hype. On a scale of 1 to 10 I call it 7-8. Nice flavor good heat.

Where is the heat?
I received my peppers yesterday all excited to eat the hottest pepper in the world. I cut the first dried pepper into three pieces and carefully placed a third on a cracker. As I ate the pepper I felt a little tingle of heat about that of a jalapeño. So I put the two remaining pieces on the cracker and again the heat was that of a jalapeno. I pulled out a second pepper and realized that it had been cut open and all of the innards were scrapped out. As I inspected the rest of the peppers to my dismay all of them had been cut open and had all of the insides had been removed. Any pepperhead knows that the Capsaicinoids are produced by the glands at the juncture of the placenta and the pod walls. So by removing all of the insides of the peppers they had removed all of the heat and left nothing but an empty and heatless pod. Very deceiving trying to sell a pepper advertised at 1,400,000 when in reality it is only about 8,000.

Very good price to product ratio
Dried peppers arrived undamaged and hole in good condition. Flavors phenomenal and make sure to bloom it in some hot oil and usually turn it into an island Curry. It's not smoke out your ears hot as long as you don't eat it straight.

Perfect for that exotic dish!
I made a Jamaican jerk with these instead of using scotch bonnets. They were perfect. A note: respect these chilis, add one at a time to your sauce while blending and TASTE after each addition, otherwise you'll go way too hot, way too fast.
