Does this model work as a vacuum when dust bag attached?

Yes, with the right accessory kit. Keep in mind the plastic impeller won't allow large debris to pass through and could be damaged. I personally wouldn't bother with it as a vacuum.

Search Amazon for makita 18v li-ion - this will show the black 18v batteries needed. makita branded are better, non branded may not last as long. The 2Ah / 4Ah is the time it will last, 2AH would guess last 15 mins 4Ah double that but heavier. Search makita 18v charger, should be about £20 - £30 to charge the battery.

Is it powerful enough to blow wet leaf’s of a grass lawn

Best when leaves are dry, if a light scatter of wet leaves on grass that's 2 or 3 inches tall? Then the air can get underneath them. If its a blanket of leaves your best Leaf Rake first and the tidy up with blower. If wet leaves are flat on Slabs etc youl have a job to shift them, brush and scrape them. I usually rake up the surplace, and blow between the shrubs and over the patio so leaves end up on lawn, then I cut the grass with Grass box. I've never owned a Leaf Vacume ? So I cannot compare the Blower to a Vac, sorry.
